Excellent news! Was worried about losing Stacky, would be a waste of talent.

As an aside, how is that article recommended to be a 13 minute read? Must have some slow readers at newscorp :ROFLMAO:
I think he was writing for those of Stiggy's level of comprehension.

This is quite funny really.
Signing something is a definitive process..one has or has not signed.
To say he has all but signed is like being almost absolutely certain.
Just another funny quirk of our language. Nice actually.
PS.. I think Syd is a rare talent . I would have signed him for a few years , made him as happy as possible and just let him play.

Yep, as we say in the software game it's binary. Signed or not. It's not 80% signed.

I give 3 years guaranteed in a heartbeat...I thought the 1 year incentive laden contract offer was silly - irrespective of his past. Treat him as you want him to be.

Problem with that is, the club took him on a one year incentivised deal when they first drafted him. He stepped up in 2019 n played some premium footy. he then gets a two year deal for 2020 n 2021 and we know how that all turned out.
Stacky simply needs to learn how to put the head down n point his arse to the breeze so it pushes him along the way he's meant to go if he genuinely wants to be an elite footballer.
Nothing at all wrong with an incentive laden short term contract dangling in front of his nose while he's still trying to figure himself out. Meets the expected criteria n then further better contracts unfold before him.
Footy contracts are just another form of business deal, certain requirements need to be met by both parties, not just one. The club's been meeting their's Stacky has a history of stumbling at times.

Yep I understand that approach, however with his talent...another team will say its worth the risk. So we have to take the risk now. The Roos are making a habit of making us pay more (Dusty) or say goodbye to players we would rather keep (CCJ). Can't afford for Stack to be in the latter category.

Exactly the reason I went cold on him, turned up to state football with horrible skinfolds and was dropped for a match. Seems to be a repeat performance but I really hope he pulls his head in. I'd like to think we can put him into an Impey role in defence, his kicking good enough for this position.

We should have just delisted both players after kebab gate.
They both are not Richmond men.

Im not buying the 3 years at North rumour

With the amount of kids north have and will have i think this would be a massive risk for them to take on , Stack has a track record of not playing by the team rules off field and that would be the last thing north would be looking to introduce to their young list.

Realistically he has had a handfull of decent games and a *smile* load of issue's
Stevo / Stack combination doesnt look great if you are trying to build a team first culture
