Not a huge fan of that outcome. Need Andrew to slide up. I do think Freo go tall with at least one pick and wouldn't be shocked with two. Would like to walk away with a pure mid at our first pick.

Hobbs would go to the Hawks in that scenario. Ward may be the one to slip
We may feel that Johnson will be available with our second, if so then walking away with Rachele & Johnson would be fine. Think pick 17 is the absolute furthest he slides but not beyond the realms of possibility.
What if Hobbs is still available? I think the odds are fairly high, if so I think they will go for Hobbs at 8 and Erasmus/Johnson at 10

There are two elite father-son prospects this year, Nick Daicos and Sam Darcy. Here’s how the points system will deliver them to their clubs on draft night.
Freo is the key & the team most likely to take Rachele but if they go homegrown then you would hope they go tall with one selection. Johnson may not appeal to anyone else after West Coast, that is in our favour. Port I think will also go for a homegrown although they might love the upside with Goater, they love a project type. That may cause a ripple effect with Essendon taking Johnson instead of Goater. I guess the problem with taking Rachele is if the last remaining A grade prospect is Sonsie then you have two similar players who in all likelihood, will be competing for the same spot.
Now that is a huge trade! The golden block of three picks makes planning super easy.

Agree, but if the boys go deep into finals or win the flag, that'll be a 50's pick.
Anyway, I am just so happy we have 5 picks within the top 28, rebuild on the run.

We should talk to St Kilda about next years first and pick 9.
OK just saw our latest trade. Although I would have liked the opportunity to take pick 9 in for the possibility of Rachele, that seems out of the question now.
At least it seems we will be taking 5. Good.

Clubs can have up to 38 on their main list. They can go into the draft with as many picks as they have spots available. so if you have 32 on your senior list you have 6 spots available. you can then pass on picks so leave spots open for the PSD or DFA period. I assume if after the PSD and DFA period you have less than 36 players you have to upgrade rookies.
If picks are then used bidding for father/sons or academy players, you are given picks back at the end of the draft.
Clubs have been reluctant to deal with us, I reckon the club felt take the deal and have 3 picks in a row, which is insane, less chance of stuffing up a pick in that block.
Well we all thought we would get the dogs pick 17 but didn't, can't say with any real confidence that we would've got the dogs pick 23, but for some reason, I felt more confident in getting pies pick 27
