Luke Jackson and Trent Rivers, best mates. I know Brisbane did it with a bundle of Warnambool and Western District boys. It's common place.
You don't overreach but if it's line ball, it comes into clubs thinking.
Fantastic effort Toothless, I'd say very comparable to my own top 60. Only a few differnces in the 50-60 range which is to be expected.
A bad result for us in the first round.
We really need both Johnson and Erasmus to be available to Fremantle at 8.
If that happens their biggest risk will be missing out on Amiss (plus one of the two top Mids in WA, Erasmus and Johnson).
If both are still available I believe they will take Amiss at 8 and the mid remaining at 10.
We will have already taken the other, or Amiss. Both better prospects than Hobbs.
Form tapered off a bit towards the end of the year but both he & Dean have been averaging 7-8 intercepts a match which is elite. The fact he can also go forward indicates some flexibility.
If anyone wanted him they could’ve taken him as a DFA. Unless there’s pros and cons I don’t get in terms of taking someone as a DFA v the drafts.

but I'm suss on an 18yo realising his dream, but needing someone to hold their hand., and the go home factor in general.
Im a bit old school. if 16 yo's could man the trenches at Gallipoli,
an 18 yo should be able to handle seeing the sunset over the sea in Fremantle and 100k to chase a ball.
having said all that, horses for courses, I get a indig kid from a tiny community with English as a 2nd language, or a kid from Ireland needs additional support.
fair enough. all my kids left home and got 5000km away pretty much on their 18th birthday, entirely under their own steam, and none have moved home after 5 years.
