An utterly ridiculous film that is so brilliant. Not everything works but I loved the dare. More of this, please.

The expectations will be so high that it will inevitably fail when compared to the original.
Yeah, one thinks it’d be nice to see a long awaited sequel but how many deliver? Coming 2 America was terrible, Zoolander 2 was unforgettable as was Anchorman 2, the Bill and Ted one was horrific, Indiana Jones Crystal skull was abysmal, MIB 4 Was a joke, Blues Brothers 2000 was embarrassing, Dumb and Dumber Too wasn’t funny.
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey is up there with Godfather 2 and Empire as the best sequels of all time. "You might be a king or a little street-sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the Reaper." Temple of Doom was decent, Last Crusade was good. Coming 2 America was bad in a fun way.
The Rewatchables made a strong case for the Austin Powers sequel being better than the first.
And in further news regarding completely unwarranted sequels, it has been confirmed that Gladiator 2 is in the works.
Just on this thread. The suburban cinema complex I was at last night was virtually empty on a Friday night.
The pandemic has rocked movies as much as any industry. The rise of big screen TVs, coupled with overblown costs & health concerns has really dampened the experience. It's sad but I think we're going to see a lot of these multiplex's go the way of the dinosaur soon. The rents they pay must be massive compared to what they're taking at the box office.

Is that the one where the Gladiators get caught in traffic on the way to the Coliseum and while they're waiting the Tigers of Rome maul the absolute *smile* outta the Big Cats from Genoa?
