Anyone remember what the Hawks got for Buddy.

That’s right , pick 18 as compensation.

Some in the media are harping on this saying Dusty is past his best and we can’t expect first rounders and say Tom Green. Green is all he is worth..,

Think they forget that Dusty is a Brownlow medalist.
Three time Norm Smith Medalist and was instrumental in the Tigers winning the GF in 2020. That’s for starters.

Buddy was set to go to GWS and Sydney came from under their nose and offered their Godfather offer.

Weren’t the AFL ‘pissed off’.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the AFL are behind ‘all this Dusty’ stuff rumours…

And now SEN trying to say if Dusty goes that maybe Hardwick is gettable.
Buddy went to Sydaknee under the free agency rules, Hawforn got compensated with a first round pick immediately after their normal first round pick. If Hawforn win the flag in that year it's pick 19 for Budwah, if Hawforn win the spoon that year it's pick two for Budwah under the free agency compo rules.

Dusty's got two years left to run on his contract, if he goes to another club, there's negotiations to be done over the value of compensation, it's not just a plastic AFL ruling.

Exactly TM.

Sorry TM . Hawks won the GF and their first pick was 18 and their compensation pick was 19..

Yeah, that was how Melbourne got pick 3 for Frawley when he went to Hawthorn.

Anyone listen to the SEN breakfast this morn? There was a whole segment on Dusty and Swans. Then they moved onto Hardwick and when it's time for him to leave. Who would be his suitors and why it would be good for him. There was mention of Essendon. Then Timmy closes off with "Not that we're trying to dismantle Richmond". Really!?

It's right at the start.
SEN Breakfast Numpties
Why waist your time listening to that crap radio station

Just wishing someone would go all Will Smith happy slappy on these media outlets and so called figures running so many stupid peices. It can't be good for the man.
Which scumbag would you slap first?
Hutchy?
Knobbo?
*smile* Browne?
Fathead Jones?
Cornhead?

My issues is with Ralph Carr - he seems to love getting his name in lights. Hence all the crap with Dusty Touring GWS last time and then the go home factor with Shai and now Rioli putting off contract talks - gee guess who manages him. Ralph is a constant pain in the Tigers bum.

Not to say I told you so, but the fact this is all still rumbling on is because he didn't do a quick interview after the first game back.
Why would a person that has been dealing with loss, grief, and real personal issues put themself in a position to let some scum ask them about these things?

There is absolutely no benefit to Dustin and his healing in presenting himself to some puppet with an earpiece who is taking orders from an editor in a box somewhere. That editor is not interested in football. That editor has an agenda. The media are destructive to healing. Any concern or sympathy is likely contrived or will be manipulated to suit their narrative.

Our club should put the shutters up and do the bare minimum AFL mandated media appearances. I would keep the answers to one word or sentence and leave them hanging in the silence. Too many people yack on and forget the biological emphasis on listening over talking - two ears, one mouth.

The AFL media are just a mutated version of celebrity paparazzi.

The club supposedly told Fox Sports that Dusty wasn't going to be available for interviews after the game, but she approached him anyway.
That's who you should be looking at, not Dusty.
Seems like a bit of a set up to me.

If he did that first interview, no way he addresses his long-term future. Dorothy Dixer questions only.

This has zero to do with it. It's content produced by the media to fill inches and shows without an ounce of actual proof connecting the dots.
