His hip must now be a genuine concern. I think we are now looking at life post Lambo.:(
Give him a fortnight off he is going to need to be managed for the rest of the season.

He looked slower tonight than recent games what little I saw, and to see he was subbed out was not at all surprising.

Probably couldve sat this one out to be honest.

Sadly this could be it, hopefully it’s just management as we had the game in control, however he has said he’s only one more issue for that to be it

I have the same degenerative hip issues as Lambo.

I don't know how he keeps going
Close to impossible. I know he's being managed and is very important in our team but clearly he needs an operation and what the cost for him personally in the long-term trying to fit in a few more games?

I'm guessing their going to have to fix his hip either way, so he mightn't be doing much long term damage, just dealing with pain.

Maybe. Or maybe he should have had surgery a while ago and it wouldn't be as bad now. We don't know but his injury has been flagged as very serious.

Dealing with pain means injections. Repeated use of injections is not good for you either. I'd understand if Lambert was younger but he's 30yo and out of contract at the end of the year. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me as much as we love to see him out there. We risked him and ended up a player short as Lynch went down as well. No harm against the woeful Bombers thankfully.

I think I read/heard that if he did that would have possibly been season over?

Someone may correct me on that!

They were talking about a titanium cap for the head of the femur before Lambo decided to have another dip at 2022. Is there any reason to think that he might now need the full hip replacement?

Apparently he was in tears on the bench. Such a shame for a consummate professional and a ripper bloke.

If you ever need a definition of a Richmond man, this bloke is it. He has gotten everything humanly possible out of himself. Hopefully it's only a management issue and this isn't it for him.
