He fumbled a couple of marking attempts on the weekend which isn't like him, although from memory they were big leaps and attempts to grab at full stretch so not simple marks. But He'd gobble them up in the past without a worry.

Perhaps he's doubting his body after his interrupted pre season? Hope the hamstring isn't playing on his mind considering his history with those types of injuries.

I wouldn't be surprised if he were one of those early retirements considering he's achieved it all at AFL level and has well-known interests outside of the game. I certainly hope he sticks around for a couple more years though!

He's playing tall too often. Since when was Dylan Grimes a champion tall? He's a champion small back.

Fumbling? Is he injured or just expecting to be?

Grimes got continuity when we played him small. That's what he should be doing now.

One misdemeanour , free down the ground, I didn't see the actual incident but I thought he played his best game. I think he received all his frees from tackles, they were rippers. I've especially noticed his tackling efficiency last 2 weeks. There are tackles and there are TACKLES.

16 disposals, 14 efficient, 12 contested possies, 4 tackles, 5 rebound 50s, 3 contested marks, 12 intercepts. Pure class.

Stupid free kicks resulting in goals to the opposition at crucial stages of the game....surely not something a captain would do.....?

Just an early shout out to one of my favourite players, Optimus Prime, who next week will play Game No. 200.
What a great achievement.

Especially when you consider his early hammy issues.
He seemed to get injured every Dreamtime game.
I think he got injured in at least 2 Dreamtime Games early on IIRC.
Off to Germany for a shot of Calf's blood Espresso (or whatever it was)!:mhihi
Never would have thought he would hit 50 Games.
Forget about 200.

Captain.
Inspiration.
Love your work Dyl.:clap2

Mistakes are massively over rated. Grimes made one? Meh.

Our captain regained form against Sydney. Real authority back in his game.

Our man will not tolerate the Heeneys of this world in the air. But it was comforting to see him strip the ball from that pretty fraud and run, unimpeded away from the bludging reputation.

God is in His Heaven. A Grimes does not tolerate a Heeney.

He's like a modern day Francis Bourke. .... don't think I've ever seen either of them deviate off the line in pursuit of the ball.... fearless, tough and uncompromising on field..... cuddly and caring off it!

200 games. Not many plaudits or acknowledgement of his craft.
Committed, fearless, brave, selfless, skilful.

Oft misused term, but he’s an out and out champion
And he’s ours. I wouldn’t swap him for any other player.
