Soldo 2019 was great but 2022 off a very serious knee injury is a liability at this time. I love the big fellow but Samson is ahead of him now surely

I was a bit of a convert, and perhaps its taking a while to get back in the swing of it after his injury, but in his current guise as clouseau he won't be the second choice ruckman for long.
can people stop gunning for him ? (i already know the answer, every muppet and his dog will)
Ivan is critical to our structure -
- gives Nank a rest
- draws his opponent to D50 when he goes forward
- draws oppo key back when he goes forward, giving Jack and Tom a clean run at a leading lane or a one-out
- wins taps (what the midfield does after that is the problem)
- allows Nank to go back and shore up an at-times panicky defence in aerial contests
- slows oppo clearances at the dangerous 666 phase
- did i mention he gives Nank a rest to allow the captain to perform at 100% battering ram ALL game? this is important
the coaches clearly feel the same. Ivan is building from a big man ACL - one of the longest roads to travel as a footballer.
he will be played until we change up our tactics - something Dimma is loathe to do in the second half of campaigns

Nank is a battering ram, an impact ruck. logical to play him in the middle first off the bat.

Not sure his overall percentage, however when Soldo clearly wins a tap, he seems to miss his rovers a lot , not sure wether he dosent read it well or his teammates don’t or the opposition just shark it better, for his greatest asset it’s a bit of a worry .
prestia, edwards, lambert and bolton seem to be the best at roving to Ivan
but shed's lost a yard and plays F50 a lot now
bolton plays forward of the pill
lambert injured
cotchin and graham are defensive mids atm
which leaves prestia as the only one who consistently reads Soldo's ruckwork
