We're about to risk it.

Maybe we didn't ask the AFL. Maybe we're just going to do it. I like that. (Apologise rather than be refused permission.)

There's no need to apologise, it's technically within the rules. Nothing stops the injured player playing the week after, and (as far as I know) there are no limits on how many times the same player can be subbed in a season. But they'll change the rules mid season if we do this often enough.

Nothing surer than it being changed If Richmond gain any advantage from it.

Was great he played & thought was ok but clearly labouring a little more than usual. The Blues got a lot of outside footy & he would have clocked up plenty of running tonight.
Hope he pulls up ok.

I thought for sure he would be subbed at 3/4 time. Such a smart player and getting every single ounce of footy our of his body. With the 8 day break, I hope he gets up to play back to back games. He can have a rest post the cats game.

Has played *smile* all football for months. Can't walk. @caesar has noted his training.

I was hoping we might try to rort the old hobbler a half of football once a fortnight.

We allowed Lambert the opportunity to play a full game. And, of course, he took that. We've got our football people all over this and we are good. Lambert got through the game.

He had handling problems. Dropped a few. Fancy that. A 45yo who can't walk, doesn't train and hasn't played all year.

23 touches for 4 SI. 4 gets. 10 Turnovers. 1 behind. 2 Clearances. He dropped it four times or would have had 27.

What was exceptional about his game? He's busy and timely. He keeps turning up where we need him.

Gawd give him strength.

I'm sad & disappointed Lambo hasn't been able to back up. First real indication that troublesome hip isn't going to get better. His playing future is in significant doubt from here.

We all know what Lambo brings, we all want Lambo in the team and to be given every chance to front up - but the writing is on the wall, and maybe if he can’t back up a game even after a long break, something sadly tells me his end is closer than I thought. I am not confident he will make it through to finals.

I was surprised that Lamby's 1st game this season was in Perth against the Eagles, it's well known to have a rock hard surface. The block of 4 games that he proceeded to play looks to be poor management.

No doubt about that AA. Absolutely no chance to continue next year unfortunately.

Maybe have him as a sub for the remainder of the year? The hip seems to be getting worse every week.

Yes - this is a real shame. It would be interesting to know exactly what the medical diagnosis is. From the outside, hip replacement seems to be what's needed at such a young age.

There’s 8 more H&A games plus finals. Reckon Kane would only need to play in half of them to get through til the end. So about 4-6 games to get over the line.

Hope so.
He looked pretty bad last game ‘hobbling’ into the rooms.
Tremendous courage, will and toughness.

Arguably our most important piece in the way we play. He is the lynch pin on how our midfield and forward line functions.

No wonder they are keen to get games into Clarke. No pressure kid!

The trouble is brodders, if he can‘t easily run out a simple H&A game, there is no way he will get through a finals game with the increased intensity and pace of 10-20%.

The club has some big decisions to make.

I’m already having separation anxiety.
The epitome of a Richmond man.
Under rated, unheralded champion of the RFC.
Every game from here could be his last.
