Kane Lambert

Echo all of the above. Hope they keep him at the club.

His humility and vision on the field an example for all.

I worked at the club when he was drafted, and I remember one day after one of his first training sessions, big Ivvy pulled me aside and was like "who is this guy?" coz in the match sim he was exceptional and roving all Ivvy's hit outs like he had been there for years
Congratulations Lambo.
Hope they seriously look at adding him to next years coaching staff.
Has done a wonderful job as a player and team man and like his mate Sheds, appears to have a future in football. beyond his playing days.

Occasionally rules about not coaching former team mates, are made to be broken.

Got every drop of talent out of the tank. Very few can say that. Very few could've played the role he did for us in three flags.

Selfless. Workrate footballer. Unrewarded running footballer. Team first footballer. Very good player in a very good era.

Will be remembered by those who saw this era as THE glue guy. Just made us tick.

His goal in the 2017 GF was the one where you first thought we were going to win it.
Little known fact - he was also the player who made the inside-50 kick for that goal.

He played seven games this year. And guess what? We went 7-0.

Massive impact for a guy with 135 games.

I love that stat 23.21.159 - 7 games for 7 wins in 2022. Shows you how important he was even at 50% fitness. Wow.

Yeah that was fantastic. Of course at the ground when I saw the goal I didn't realise he had kicked it inside 50 from the centre but I picked it up when I watched the replay. It was like;

"Hang on; didn't Lambo just kick the ball from the centre 10 seconds ago? And here he is kicking a goal from the top of the goal square!!" It was a remarkable passage of play.

His work rate, endurance and running capability was just about unparalleled.

Sad news, but it was the right decision. It was painful seeing him try to play when he was clearly not physically right. He didn’t seem capable of bending to pick the ball up due to his injury. Thanks for everything you did Kane.

His work rate to create an outnumber and to provide support to a team mate is what stood out with Kane. He played mostly midfield but his workrate gave us the extra number in the forward line.

What a career. Constantly overlooked, but stuck at it and was given his chance.

Became an integral part of a 3 flag dynasty.

Congrats Lambo, well played sir.

It's just a shame he doesn't get to be carried from the field in front of an adoring MCG crowd. They should get him to do a lap before this week's game.
