Poor old seagull Heppell. Captained Essendrugs the last five or six years, played over 200 games n watching Truck on the news tonight. They don't give a stuff if he goes. Might as well grab the chips n fly seagull, take whatever Mould Coast are offering.

Just read they've dropped Horne Francis. I reckon they can say goodbye to him now.

And Pagan….:)
True, but Pagan was sold a dud I believe. Got there and not long after, the club was slapped with a record fine and severe draft penalties. Was doomed from the start IMO.

Malthouse took over a list that had come close to a prelim some 12 months earlier and had more to work with than Pagan did, who inherited a side that had just won the spoon then been stripped of the best two kids in the country.

Yeah, Carlton's decades of cheating sure did land on Pagan's doorstep like a big ol' flaming brown paper bag filled with sh!t.

From the online Age website https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl...inimum-five-year-contact-20220812-p5b9g2.html

Here's the first part of it .....

"North Melbourne have offered Alastair Clarkson a long-term deal of at least five years to coach the Kangaroos.

Sources familiar with some discussions between Clarkson or his management and North Melbourne confirmed that the Roos had offered the four-time premiership coach a deal that would be a minimum of five years to coach the AFL club at which he first played.

North Melbourne are still waiting on Clarkson’s answer, as he also weighs up strong interest from Greater Western Sydney, who also have been in conversations with the ex-Hawthorn coach.

But sources said GWS still had not made Clarkson a formal offer, even though the Giants were keen to secure him, as they also engage with the other three candidates for their coaching position: Adem Yze (Melbourne assistant), Adam Kingsley (Richmond assistant) and their caretaker coach Mark McVeigh.

Sources said there was an expectation that Clarkson would give an answer to both clubs before the end of the home-and-away season.

The length of the Kangaroos’ offer is a measure of both the club’s willingness to commit heavily to Clarkson, but also of the fact that they are only midway through what has been a painful and challenging rebuild and that he would need time to bring them into finals and flag contention.

........ plus a few more paragraphs .........

Hmm. 5 years? So when there is minimal improvement or success after 2 years, they get panicky , sack him and pay out his remaining years

We are going to have to put up with "Clarko Magic" headlines every time they win a game.

It'll be more laughable when the sun gets bigger in the false dawn. This is Micky and Pagan at Cartoon like.

I am hearing Horne Francis is definitely going back to Adelaide Crows regardless. It's going to be interesting to see how that get done..
Sounds/acts like a real tosser of a kid. Full respect to North for dropping him so he doesn’t get a game in SA
