Brisbane have to be mentally shot. Got floggedby the Dees in front of a home town sell out crowd. Then there was the sledging caper and all the media fuss after that. 50% of the crowd on Thursday may be tigers fans. I imagine boos for a certain Lions player every time he touches the ball. Home finals games shouldnt be like that..

don’t wanna sound like a broken record, but there is no way in the world the crowd will be 50/50 tonight. Why? Because its Thursday night and thousands of us are unable to travel.

I was there 3 years ago and estimated there were about 15,000 Richmond fans out of 36,000 (40%). There will probably be 5,000-6,000 tonight (mainly due to our big QLD supporter base) and 30,000 Brisbane fans.

I’m still bloody angry the AFL screwed us over this. These idiots quickly forget that 95% of us missed out on seeing the 2020 flag. This is our first post-pandemic final and those dogs have made it impossible for us to go.

Hoping 10 minutes into the 3rd Dusty subbed off with the Tigers up by 7 goals and the great man with 4 to his name. No injury of course just 'awareness"

From memory, the AFL was very lenient on the Medi-sub in last years finals series. Pretty sure almost every sub in every game got minutes.

If that’s the case, there is no doubt the club will be looking to take Dusty off early if we have a big enough lead.

Bit worried about our defence. Particularly Tarrant if he plays on Daniher. I know he’s been going ok Tarrant but still worried about him when he’s forced to defend on the lead.

Players up the ground need to apply enough pressure to make the ball come in high, or tumbling, or missing targets. The days of our backline being able to handle anything anytime are gone. Need some decent pressure applied on their entries.

Centre clearances the key especially at the Gabba. One kick from the middle and you already 30m out from goal. Big game required by Prestia and Cotchin.

Nank and Miller the other keys to this. Need to nullify and influence from Mckernerny at the centre bounces.

Yep I’m concerned about the back seven also.

We’d wanna make sure we aren’t yippy in front of goal to boot cos we’ll give them a look the other way.

He did. Does his best work on the medicinal hooch.

Our backline is suspect to quick ball movement. As you said pressure up the field will be crucial. Another crucial piece is Vlastuin. His intercept marking will need to be on tonight.

With all the talk about us attacking Zorko tonight, I actually think it will be the other way. I am expecting them to go full on with the physical and verbal tactics. They have done this every time we play them up there.

I reckon well win by 10 goals
Didn't pick you for a pessimist.

Dusty Lynch Bolton
Jack Cumbo Rioli

At 5 goals a piece, conservatively, that's 30 goals. Maybe a couple less for Junior, and a couple more for Lynch.

Brisbane average 14 goals a game.

We should win by 16 goals.

Maybe as a ploy, Dusty won't start right away but be on the bench for the start.
Then he could come on with a huge roar from Tiger supporters and give the heeby jeebies to the Lions.
Just a thought bubble.

Sorry Smoking, isn't every backline suspect to quick ball movement?

Not necessarily. Depends on the personnel down there. When we were winning premierships we could handle this. All our key defenders were quick and were able to match the forward on the lead.
