2022 Draft Thread

I don’t mind drafting from WA. We do a lot better from there than SA; Shedda and Fridge notwithstanding.

Especially don’t like SA talls. Glad we stayed away from them.
Barnett the only half certain tall from SA this year.

Bad record SA talls. Last decent one Pavlich ?

Right now, it looks like we had a pretty bad night. Two midgets, no talls, long delays in making our choices.

That’s not to say Green or Smith can’t be good players but I suspect they were not our first, second or even third choices.

Tigers took a minute to pass, obvious the time delay to Perth there asking the WA team what they should do!

Rather take mids with serious development upside than Vickery clone talls that stick out at u18’s but no guarantee to make the transition to the big league.
Is it true Green has been playing for only three years and yet spent the year in the WAFL seniors?
Crikey.com.au
And Steely is an absolute gem of a name; the marketing opportunities are enormous.
Visionary stuff Tiges.

This draft was weaker than first thought. First time I've seen ~ 10 early rounders still on the table.

We need talls but no point taking them if you don’t think they are not much chop. Would rather have a good smaller player. And the talls on offer were from SA and I reckon we learnt our lesson with CCJ. As a rule SA talls are ordinary.
