Footy media , love’m or hate’ m ?

It’s amazing how these sides, your Collingwood’s, Melb, Cats last year are acknowledged with the style of play, yet the team that revolutionised the game through the period of 2017-2020 with 3 flags are looked down upon as flukes.
It’s a carbon copy of the Tigers premiership blueprint.
There are outliers of course , buts it’s basically OUR model of game style with a few tweaks.
Until these teams have the success that we had, Hawks to me, just one hit wonders…
Media fall over themselves as they are doing with the Pies. It’s a long season and you need to be playing at your best in July not in March.
The stand rule has been worked out.
Let’s hope we have worked it to shut up these media types who really are not worth even reading their articles.
Just crap journalism.
They still irritate me as the Tigers are not acknowledged for changing the modern game after the Hawks had their dominant period.
The Cats had to change their philosophy last year. They brought in a genuine small forward and moved the ball quicker.
Melb the same.
Plus they introduced mindfulness talk and practice. We were the masters of that before these clubs thought of it.
McCrae is a Dimma clone and he has Leppa there too.
Melb got Williams who was huge for our players especially Dusty.

Did anyone hear Mince and Flog King crucify Boobsy this morning?
Mince saying he should get 5 minimum and King 6 minimum.
Mince had the audacity to mention Stewart got 4 for the Prestia hit with no concussion.
Their anti Richmond bias knows no bounds.
I switched it off immediately as I need my radio.

TBF he said Stewart would get 6 now, up from 4. He also said 4 as minimum and would be happy at 5. Mystic Meg definitely said 6 minimum.
King is all about protecting the head so no surprise their.

I usually get my Richmond fix by listening to the excellent Richmond podcasts, reading this forum (the training thread over summer), and checking the AFL/RFC websites for updates or fixture information during the season.
Does anyone else think the AFL website has become more clickbaity lately?
It reminds me of the recent trends with YouTube video titles. At this rate, we'll be seeing weekly "I was wrong!" videos by Kane Cornes with a shocked facial expression in the thumbnail by the end of the year.

You have two players, one has the opportunity to legally bump, one has the opportunity to legally tackle.
They both execute those acts in illegal and violent ways, well outside the normal on-field behaviour and leave their opponents unconscious as a result.
So Ports Burton gets two weeks and flogs like King want Broad to get three times as long for the same action..... Cant believe that they are once again coming for Richmond players to cop this type of lop sided justice - smacks of the Houli garbage a few years back. It makes me furious..
What's happened in the last 10 months that now makes Stewart's 6 weeks? Easy for Mince to say that now. He should have been calling for it back then but obviously had vested interests...
What does he mean no concussion? Was Prestia not laying on the ground unable to even get up? Even Stewart admitted he’d done the wrong thing. What about hie hero Danger and the sniper act on Flossy in the 2020 GF? No action taken over that. Dangerflog should have started the 2021 season in round 7.

Let's also not forget there were those who claimed we were ruining the spectacle of the game itself during that time. I'd argue you gotta play your best in Aug/Sept as well.
