Footy media , love’m or hate’ m ?

What does he mean no concussion? Was Prestia not laying on the ground unable to even get up? Even Stewart admitted he’d done the wrong thing. What about hie hero Danger and the sniper act on Flossy in the 2020 GF? No action taken over that. Dangerflog should have started the 2021 season in round 7.
For action, 1st it needed to not be swept under the rug & for the media to have paid it some kind of attention instead of ignoring it completely. Then over the following summer we get the annual "crack down on head contact" talk from head office & not 1 media person mentioned the GF & any talk of what happened there simply never happened at all, it's almost like it never even happened.

Well, Vlastuin probably can’t remember it.

What's happened in the last 10 months that now makes Stewart's 6 weeks? Easy for Mince to say that now. He should have been calling for it back then but obviously had vested interests...
As you say, Premiership to his Cats probably the change.

What the &*%$k – what is going on with the continual media bashing of the Tigers??? Another bloody headline “Arrogant Tigers Punished” is a tired and predictable punchline by Cornes that he’s used before. But what pisses me off is its on the AFL website which along with its daily hypocrisy about the evils of betting, then collects revenue from betting advertising, should show no bias towards any side for or against.

The incompetent, loud, desperate for a headline, media is running the show these days and their agenda is obvious, and from a Tigers perspective insidious and biased. The AFL lies its way from one self-inflicted mess to another.

The umpiring is a shambles – and the concept of incorrect disposal (being throwing the bloody ball) doesn't exist if you wear a Bulldogs, Collingwood or Cats jumper. It’s that simple. The cost of going to the footy and enjoying a pie, one lousy pie, costs a Kings ransom and that’s called rorting. Something that’s out of control in this country.

The football media is unprofessional, incompetent, lazy and running amok. Deliberating creating a sh$32t storm to get a headline. And their prejudiced commentary and smart-arse, snide comments about a Richmond player, and Lynch in particular, will and does influence the adjudication of a Tigers game.

The club needs to draw a line in the sand with the media and the AFL. And if that doesn’t work go public with examples of the bias and incompetence and cope the fine. The club needs to defend its players, and how they are treated by the footy media and by association the AFL. I was pleased to see Hardwick finally express what we all know. More of that coach.

It's time for our supporters to draw a line in the sand. Stop engaging with the media trolls. Don't click. Don't buy. Don't watch.
Hurt their dollars. Bad Tiger new$ is as old as time.

The media is supposed to scrutinise, to report what is happening and, yes, even to offer some opinions.

But when all they do is parrot the line from AFL headquarters they are not doing their job.

Get rid of the lot of them, they contribute nothing to the game.

Years ago you would get decent reporting but it is so long ago it is hard to remember what real coverage of football looks like.

What's the penalty for boycotting post game presser?
Or sending the bootstudder or door *smile* instead of Hardwick?

Geez when even the AFL media are talking about the standard of umpiring it really must be a mess.

Can someone please explain to me how we are “arrogant “ as opposed to other clubs? Serious question. I keep hearing it but when questioned nobody can tell how we are

Benny Gale is sooo qualified to take over from Gilligan its not funny.
But because he has yellow and black blood he has no chance. Because there would be a massive clean out within the AFL.
That's what all of them are scared of. He has no chance because if he was, it wouldve been announced the minute the clown put his arm up to say he was leaving.
The tribunal is in shambles, trying to over correct incidents from the past.
The rules are just ridiculous.
The stand rule is no different to what you see when the girls play netball and grab the ball inside the ring.
And the media are hell bent of discrediting everything we do..
Pity alongside Brisbane & Hawthorn we are the best club in the last 20 yrs
