Round 17: The Tuesday, race 3 at Warracknabeal games.

What a pathetic performance by the Frockers today
Longmuir is as useless as Simpson

Looking forward to Port bursting Ninthton’s (small) bubble next week. Freo are putrid.

Fyfe 32 in a couple of months and Walters 33 in January both signed 2 year deals recently, would've thought at that age the Dockers would be signing them on 1 year deals.

6 goals on a clear day at home, and they play the Bots at the G next week. Longmuir might as well walk out now.

Still keeping an eye on Funky as a second key forward / back up ruck and Samsung as a ruck / back up forward at the moment. Both still playing a bit patchy at times as one would expect, but Funky had another decent contribution against the Swannies Thurs night. Reckon Bauer's more a third tall forward type similar to Gunston.

Funky is a handy utility IMO, able to play back, chop-out ruck and forward. I think he's best back or rucking myself, especially because he has that extra height to take the really big KPFs, given Balta is (only) 194cm. Just don't see him able to take the big pack, contested grabs that you need deep forward, as JR8 and TL could/can provide.

All his stats are below average in every category e.g. career av, 8 possies, 2.6 marks. Like I said, handy but not the long-term answer I suspect.

The Footscary & Essendon losses have bent us over.
Imagine Essendon or Adelaide at the G in September.
And good learning for the kids

For another week we put up with the 'Can the Blues play finals?' wankfest in the media.

Getting done today would've been something of a relief as the media jerk circle would've given up on the narrative.

Instead, they'll continue to ride the false hope for clicks, when in reality, it's still not going to happen.
Stand by for a week of "I really want to see them against a top 4 team before I'm convinced" style articles.

How about Essendon?
The apparent new force in AFL
It's a pity they still won't win a final
