Training For 2023

Not looking good as I thought in regards to Cotch.

Calve injury doesn’t normally get well in a weeks time unless it was awareness”.

And Jack? He will be there even though it’s clearly obvious he is struggling.

Rioli & Graham.? Again these two, what’s the point?

Definitely want to be out there and play in Cotch & Jacks last game, even though Rioli is clearly injured and Graham is clearly pretty sore/injured.

Will be such a shame for the 50k plus fans that will be there in anticipation to salute, thank, acknowledge what our 2 champions contributed to the club.

Should be more than the 50k .

Julius what’s your gut feel?

And others who have been to training the past 2 weeks?

Feel flat today, not because the Matilda’s lost last night , but because I’m going to the game with my North Melbourne cousin.

You are right, in normal circumstances with nothing on the line with season over, you would probably shelve DRioli and maybe debut Brown but Daniel will be desperate to be out there so another jab may be in order?

Graham's latest form has not been great, partly because he has been struggling with some issue and should be rested, (we have Hopper back), not sure he has the revered right to be on the ground in a limited capacity to participate in the fairwell games despite being important in a couple of GF's and he did try to leave last year.

Cotch will play, he simply has to, but if he is struggling maybe thats as the sub. Hopefully we don't get any injuries and he can come on to a heros welcome late in the game.

Rioli has been struggling for weeks with that ankle, may as well wrap him up in cotton wool and get it better for next year and give Banks a couple more games to finish the year.
Similar to Graham, if he's not fit enough, he's not good enough to be played below full fitness, so lets give the Sonz a couple of games to finish the year.

No reason to risk these guys when the season is gone and we can get a few more games into the kids.

Agree. Sub would be perfect and plonk him at FF for 10 mins at the end.

We should get in contact with north , come up with a gentlemens agreement that we kick to PRE in the last
Cotch comes on at 3qt and walks down to the pre with jack at the start ofd the last q!

Why cant we just go to the AFL and North and ask that Cotch be allowed to be selected as a 2nd sub for his farewell match with the guarantee he only plays a few minutes as a farewell.

If Norf can ask for a priority pick, why not?

Was everyone at training yesterday? Hearing rumours done boys were kidding. Wondering if they’re additions to injury list.

My attempt:

Was everyone anyone at training yesterday? Hearing rumours done some boys were kidding missing. Wondering if they’re additions to injury list.

My attempt:

Was everyone any player at training yesterday? Hearing rumours facts done boys done and were kidding kissing ‘their arses goodbye’. Wondering if they’re additions to injury the retirement list.

Final Training Session :(

A new recruit: wearing number 6 (Trent Cotchin out there with the boys one last time).

Alive and Breathing: Returning from a broken back Mate` Colina, Kaleb Smith amputated foot and Gibcus, (they don't know how to fix his hamstrings), all return and doing some running in rehab, (a small positive right?)

Also in rehab: Steely Green, appendix, Prestia, slight knee and DRioli management for his perennial ankle/foot issues.

Cumberland: Back training after concussion.

A very naughty boy was also out there.

**I left very early in the piece so no gauge on any positional curve balls for last round.

That is it folks, signing off for 2023 (at least till off-season anyway).

Cheers
