Where's Levi Ashcroft expected to fall? Will the Lions look to move theirs out too?
Quite possibly. If I’m the Lions I do it, would rather have another ready made player that can help them next year. Window is now. Even a depth player is worth it. Lions add Payne, Dodee and Will Ashcroft late in the year. I reckon Jayden Short on a wing is something they need, wonder if they‘d do that.

Surprised Dev Robertson & Lohmann re-signed. Not sure who they push out next & following season(s) to play regularly (with a healthy list)?

Interesting to read some Dorks fans reckon Chol is better than Kosi for them. I don't know about that.
They might not be that far wrong. Kosi drafted as a backman, played well as a forward and thrown between all and in the ruck this year. Sometimes a change of scenery is what’s needed.
Chol, not on big money, bigger all round than kosi and they won’t throw him around any position because he can’t manage them.

Retirements: Riewoldt, Cotchin, Castagna and Tarrant
Delisted: Bradtke
Possible Delisting: Biggy

Cat B Delisted: Colina - Richmond will delist project ruckman Mate Colina after three years as a Category B rookie then re-rookie him.
Why are wasting more time and effort with Colina? Ridiculous, the bloke has no football attributes. Put your effort into the new basketball guy who at least played the game before and has some potential

100%
Mate almost 25 and what’s he done walked 2 laps around punt road in the last few years. Cut your losses.

Who else do we have that can strap on the jump bag and have our rucks practice taking screamers?

I just read that Port had delisted Riley Bonner a few weeks ago. Now’s a free hit agent I’d like to see at Richmond. A 190cm running half back/winger who’s a lovely left footer (And god knows we could do with some more foot skill!)

Not sure why he’s gone under the radar. Played 93 games for Port, turns 27 in March ‘24.

If he was only a fourth rounder I would take harmes in a heartbeat. Seriously underrated on here.
But how much of our salary cap would it cost us as well?

Someone earlier suggested Melbourne’s reason for letting him go is to free up their own salary cap

I just don’t fancy paying decent money for this pretend tough man - and absolutely don’t want to do Melbourne a favour in the process

Fascinated with where we think we’re at.

Stocking up for another tilt or quietly preparing for 2-3 years of pain?

Yeah there are not many tea leaves to read at the moment.

personally I reckon the jump from where we are to getting back into the top 4 maybe a bit beyond us now - last year I could see it but not now - take out Cotch and Jack, Lynch and Gibcus huge question marks - yeah can’t see it myself.

also, given we have virtually signed on all our young players - that’s where the club expect the growth to come from and that will be a slow burn for us (cant see any absolute A graders there to help accelerate this and remember Daicos x2 and Ashcroft and Fletcher are all top liners which were added to this year grand finalist - we don’t have that luxury).

strangely George proved to be the canary in the coal mine for us this year but we didn’t see it at the time - the signs were there, motivation gone, players spent.

I think Carts they believe they can play finals in 24 with a returning Lynch, Gibcus, getting in Kosi, possibly Harmes & if Soldo leaves Dursma?

To me that’s not a club bottoming out.

Think we may pick up 1 kid and trade for the others in.

Then Use the Pre Season, Rookie and Mid Season drafts to bring in players to assist us , depending on how we are performing is my reading.

I am prepared to have 2024 as a low finish as Yze discovers what the current players have and how they will contribute to his playing style. Find the gaps and fill them over the need two trade/draft periods. We finish bottom 4 or 5 and pick up a decent player.

It may take 2025 to fully fix the list or it maybe that the work done with the existing under 25s over the last few years starts to bear fruit earlier than expected

Yze will learn a great deal of our players in his first season, then comes strategy of who stays , who goes and who comes. He needs the year to assess.

Good shout, I'd have him as a freebie, lovely kick and that's precisely what we're screaming out for.

Biggie gone? reports in zero hanger now suggest free agent
'Richmond youngster Bigoa Nyuon has attracted some interest from North Melbourne, who have met with the Tiger as they assess the market for talls. Clubs looking at options in this space. Nyuon doesn’t have a contract for next year as yet with the Tigers.'
