Changes vs Port Adelaide

Trezise in all likelihood wont play whilst Grimes Vlas and Broad are in the side.

He will likely be the replace ment for any of those guys if they are not in the side for whatever reason.
Might as well put a fork in Grimes - he is done. Looks way to slow - his organisational skills are not enough to make up for it. Trezise is the future. 15 games this year would be a great launch into 2025.

Balta stays fwd, Miller and kosi key backs, macca replaces prestia, Dan and Clarke replace mj and nigel in the fwd line and trezise to the backline.
Dont get the love for Koschitzke. Has he done anything since arrival which indicates he can be a force for us either back or forward?

I think we are a bit stuck for this week. We've only really got 1 tall to bring in (Miller) but we have 2 to replace. I think Tresize may well come in and we will need 1 of Broad or grimes to play taller.
Too conservative! To play taller means what, ‘carry a ladder’.

Whatever the ins and outs, I can't wait to see the Tigers in play this weekend.
Tigers are fortunate with results so far somewhat minimising our 0-2 start.

Tigers must win this week if they actually want to have an impact on this season.

0-3 staring at 0-4 is going to suck the energy out of the joint real fast.

That’s a good one. Thank you for such sage advice.

No problem, I thought you needed that advice as you seem to think that throwing a guy in "who's tall and tough" means he will be a great defender even though he's never played there before.

Yes, probably will, but no point in finishing middle of the ladder either. Play those who want to make a serious contribution and move on those who are being picked on reputation or just lairising. Desperately need new talent and we all know there's only one good way to get it.

U have observed we are certain to lose two tall defenders from last weeks team. You also anticipate that Miller will come in after a pretty good game against Carlton in the vfl.

Port have one of the strongest forward lines with talls and flankers and I believe, the best midfield in the competition.
They also have big Soldo who has a point to prove, who will spend time in their forward line.

You want to go in with is it Broad Miller and Grimes and keep Balta up forward.
I agree with the last part but you are expecting far too much of Broad, Miller and Grimes against that opposition, (fed
by that midfield).

Does it matter that Lefau is not an experienced defender? Yes. But in the absence of an available tall alternative is it worthwhile bringing in another tall who is fast and strong with a reputation for knowing when to go and then trying to smack into every reachable contest with vigour, and a come what may attitude?

If we are to actually have any chance of winning imo we need that second tall available to go back, or alternatively to relieve Balta while he does so.

if Lefau comes in it will signal that Balta will play back and lefau will play forward. There is zero chance that Yze is rash enough to play someone who has never played in defence before just because he is tall.

Don’t worry yourself about what you think
it might signal. No one cares.

Kosi looked ok when he went back in the VFL match against Carlton. Certainly more useful than when he played forward. He might be an option if they’re looking for a bigger body on Dixon.

Dude this is a message board for everyone to make their points. Don't belittle someone else opinion and say no-one cares just because it differs to your opinion. Make your case but don't try to silence anyone because you don't agree with it. Makes you look weak.

Kosi is certainly the other option if they go tall, he's played there before

U seem to be absorbed with what it might signal. No one cares what it might signal.

I'm not fussed. Where not winning a flag, rather finish last and get a kid like Reid or Sneezel.
The only reason I want us to win this week is to do what we did to Cornes 300th to Boaks 350th.

Are you serious. He started his career there with another club.
The first issue that would challenge anyone considering selection of Koschitzke is can he get a kick.

Ok lets see how it pans out. For the record, IMO the chances of Lefau are slim to none. I'm not sure what you've seen that suggests he will be better than any of Tresize, Brown even Kosi who was drafted as a defender and played there through much of his junior career.

Maybe in the future Lefau may play as a defender, but you don't throw him in against Dixon or Marshall having never played there, seriously that would be 1 of the dumbest moves ever. If Lefau plays this week, it will be forward and Balta back, but judging by what Yze said, he is planning on keeping Balta forward which will mean 1 of Brown, Tresize or Kosi will play along with Miller.
