As often is the case, I endorse your comments except for your last - see above. Agree re Sambo though as stated.

So, finally, same from me for Big Ivan. Never thought you were the 'answer' as a top ruck; not a natural footballer being a late convert and never quite athletic or fast enough. However, full credit for how you turned yourself into a real competitor who lead the Tiges to a great Flag victory without our usual general, Nank.

Thanks Ivan - always.
I agree we have to give Ryan more time next season to see where it takes us as we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. However I am still royally hacked off at Hawkins ruining what could have been a really good career for Ivan as he was showing us the goods when the shove of Balta into Ivan's knee did so much damage. Since then Ivan has never been the same so I hope the mover to fresh pastures lifts the big guy.

Nothing sinister, VP.
Just from the view that they were Premiership buddies.
Now as ruck opponents they are running straight at each other every centre bounce.

(You love Holdens, too?
Currently into my 4th Commodore.
They don't make 'em like that anymore, and now they don't make 'em, period.
Damn Shame!)

Love the big fella and hope he does well but Port go *smile*. Would hate to see him against Nank. I think he would beat Nank in the the centre square. Would be a good time to play Naismith and Samson and work him over.

I've always liked Evarn, he is what he is and he knows he ain't no superstar, as was obvious against Gawn last week.
Lastnight he was up against the league's most experienced ruckman and the league's most overated one and handled them both well.
Had an impact, gave 100% effort and did his job with no fuss and none of the prancing about that tool Draper carries on with!
I think Ivan Maric and those who helped his development at Richmond would be proud!

Btw.... I couldn't resist having a read of the Essendon forum for a bit of a laugh....... so many derogatory comments about Evarn had me thinking if he's so shìthouse..... what's that make Draper?🙄

Indeed. And he has something none of those buffoons will ever have - a premiership medal hanging around his neck.

I’ll always have a soft spot for Soldo. A genuinely great bloke.
But some of his relatives are absolute nuffies and hope he’d be embarrassed by their antics on TV last night.

I've always been a fan of Ivy's, but him leaving was the best thing for the RFC and for him.
In the trade we got 41 and No 49 in the 2023 AFL Draft, and a Round Two (tied to Fremantle) and a Round Four (tied to Port Adelaide) pick in the 2024 AFL Draft.

After having next to no pre season and in his 2nd game this season Nank had a good game against Ivan a couple of weeks ago, 24, HO to to 26.
Nank had 6 tackles and 7 clearances to Ivan's 1 tackle and 0 clearances.
Against Port, arguably the best clearance side in the comp, both sides had 31 clearances.

Good luck to Ivan, I wish him well, him leaving has strengthened our draft position, and helped us get 9 picks in the 2024 draft.
Looking forward to what we can trade up to in the draft order with some of those draft picks.
