Re: Player of the year-Rd 21 vs Essendon

3. Richo - if he was a horse, he would have a heart bigger than Phar Lap's.
2. Johnson - tons of hard work and used the ball well.
1. Foley - slowish start but was on the bottom of just about every pack after 1/4 time - a true extractor.

Pats on the back to: Bowden, Thursfield, McGuane, King, Deledio.

What a great victory in front of a massive crowd at the 'G last Sunday. I was somewhere in the lower stratosphere in the Ponsford stand, but it was great. There is nothing quite like a full (well almost full) MCG. Not having attended an AFL final, it was the closest I have come to such an experience.

The Tigers were in control of the game for most of the evening, with some consistent efforts from most of the side. It was clearly the skipper's best game for the season and the voters rewarded him with a solid return in the votes, catapulting him to a more respectable area of the PRE ladder. The majority of the rest of the votes were shared between Richo, Joel Bowden and Deledio after great a game from each of them.

The battle for positions 2-4 continues, with the first shuffle in that area for quite some time. Polak has lost his #2 spot, slipping to #4 and Richo has moved into 2nd by the barest of margins (3 votes) to Deledio. It is going to come down to the Round 22 clash with the Saints to find out who will score the runners-up award behind Foley for 2007.

Good luck to the boys against one of our bogey sides in the Saints. I know I am not the only one who would love to see us knock them out of the finals (that is if the Pies get up tomorrow night!).

Also, good luck to the 'Burgers in the VFL as they start their final campaign.

Carn' the Tiges!

If Richo kicks 20 he might just get 300 people to vote for him.

Re: Player of the Year-Rd 22 vs Saints

3 - Pettifer (Basically kept us in the game.)

2 - Newman (Won plenty of the footy and gave us great drive.)

1 - Edwards (Didn't win a stack of the footy but i gave him votes for the way he went about tackling.)

Mentions to King & Brown. Great to see Tambling & McGuane keep getting better with every game.
