Adem Yze

Really worried for the Coach.
If we win 2 Games again his record will show 46 games, for 4 Wins 42 losses.
Can he survive that?
Can't see how he does.
Hope I am wrong on this.

The Premiership Years feel like they were 15 Years ago not 5.
The speed of the fall has been world record like.

2 things will get me through this Year.
Seeing the young jets like Sam, Taj and Josh etc cut their teeth and hopefully thrive.

The second?

James B Beam.
Lots and lots.

Good luck surviving this, Ooze!
Tend to agree - not sure how he survives with 4-42 record - it may be worse than that as well. We all want improvement - treading water or sinking is not improvement in this instance. Injecting Harley Reid immediately improved WCE - let’s hope one of our draftees can provide the similar glimpses to move us forward

Doubt he can coach. Saw no game plan tonight. It's as if he said "go out there and have a good time".

His coaching career may be determined by something as simple as whether he has the balls to tell Hopper and Taranto that they can not play in the midfield together.

Still can’t see an identifiable pattern of play. Had all Summer to work out the midfield. With Bolton gone, where is the midfield speed? Looked better in last 1/4 when Campbell went in there & so did he. Defensive running was dreadful too - no wonder they kicked 20 straight - no pressure transition.

Really, the only way we can truly waste this year is by playing Hopper and Taranto together in the midfield all year.

What's crazy is that either of them could make effective forward pocket players.

Certainly not with Jack Ross as well.
Yep. Unfortunately for Jack, he doesn't have much forward nous where the other two do. Playing Hopper and Taranto as swapping Half Forwards will help our inexperienced fwd line and allow a spot for speed on ball which we are so desperate in need of.

There's a heap that worries me about Yze but number 1 is the lack of energy and interest that many of our players display - especially when we don't have the ball or it's a fight in a contest.

I'm not sure he's a motivator that gets max effort from players, regardless of talent levels, speed or whatever else it is we're lacking.

Picking players like Dow isn't helping his cause.
Picking Dow is questionable, but then playing him out of position on a wing is downright bizarre.

The whole makeup of the midfield group right now is ridiculous. It is like when a kid makes salad and they just grab a whole lot of vegetables from the fridge that look fresh and throw them in the bowl. Looks colorful but the flavors aren't complementary.

Can’t polish a *smile* Red.

No you can't. And that's exactly my point because you don't have to polish effort (or standards.)

Our effort and standards are falling away. Decision making off field as well. None of that has anything to do with talent, which again, is my worry.

Dow.. can’t run and can’t kick.. and he plays him on a wing? Yeah I was a little confused by that one too…

I am not concerned about the effort. We showed it tonight. At patches at least.

It’s the persistent of certain players that concerns me.

Dow on a wing. Miller over Kosi.

Persisting with a pedestrian midfield. Only in the last quarter did we change that up.

Maybe, but turnovers from a positive position make everything look horrible. Everyone steps on the attack and then whoosh the ball goes the other way and you are meters behind.

Hopper, Ross and Taranto have no burst so when the ball falls to their advantage and they have a small gap players react on the offensive but the gap gets swallowed up by the time the disposal is made. Unfortunately, they just do not have the physical abilities to maintain space in the middle. All of them need to play the distributor role in center clearances but when you play 2, let alone 3 of them together it does them and the team a disservice.
