Youngest Freo side for three years. Mundy + a group of kids, 15 players 23 or under. Losing this would just about be a new season low.
2.5 years on average per player, that's huge.

They may be younger but they're 1cm taller and 3kg heavier on average. Must be a couple big boys skewing those numbers. Darcy has mates.

It seems as though favouritism is the way the MC picks the team and not on form. How George, Jake or Garth can stay in the team I have no idea.

Gee we're lightweights. Have we lost weight since last year? Don't remember us being so much lighter than the opposition

We must also have one of the shortest lists as well. We are always shorter than every team we play every week.

Any stats on that LTRTR?
We've been the shortest team over the course of the season for five straight years.

Shorter than the oppo in 109 of the past 113 games since the start of 2017. Exceptions 2017 R5 & 7 v Melbourne/Bulldogs, 2018 R11 v Essendon, 2020 R6 v Sydney.

Biggest known height deficits in club history -4.1cm v Collingwood 2020 R2 and -4.1cm v Geelong 2017 QF. 14 of the top 15 in past five years. In eras past it would've been referred to as a "mosquito fleet". Certainly a hallmark of our dynasty that's gone largely unnoticed by the press.

Our frequent weight and size difference compared to our opponents shows just how all in the entire football department was on the Richmond style of play. We had recruited, developed and conditioned a group of players to play in a particular way and were incredibly effective at it. The rule changes really *smile* us over.

Yes TF, it's not the size of the dog in the *smile* fight is it?

This has been something I have noticed by eye over many years and I could never understand it.
We are always smaller in height and skinner then the opposition. Our players always look like kids playing against men.
Good to see it was not just me playing tricks in my mind but that the stats back-up what I have been thinking.

Are we recuiting players who cant put size on, or is it training, the answer to that I do not know.
Anyone have any insights?

We prioritized running ability in recruiting then trained our players to maximize their running power. This naturally came at the expense of size but the trade-off worked pretty well for us.

Yeh, those stats suggest you get every cent you have and whack it on the tigers. What were the ages in our match v the GC?

26.51 v 24.13

Up to 2020 we were 11/11 when +1.70 or above. Lost to St.Kilda last year at +2.16, Sydney R3 +2.90 and Gold Coast +2.38. Sign of an empire in decline.

Don't know about the $1.53 Richmond, but I wouldn't be rushing for the $2.45 Freo.

Yep we've built a list over many years to play a certain way and the AFL then move the goal posts.
