Changes v Aints

From a different site poster.

Since 2012 our overall record is 90 - 55 (win rate of 62%). Over that same period we only win 56.5% at the Dome - fairly significant factor.

Over that time our average ladder position is between 5-6, whilst St. Kilda's is 14.

So coming into this game, with our respective seasons this tight and considering our historic penchant for losing crucial games to lesser favoured opposition, this merits as a tremendously dangerous game.

Was there a highlight? Perhaps when they trudged off after the game?

you should watch it. its extraordinary no-one was entertained.

As i said Easy, from a poster on a different site.
Don't waist your arrows on me. I'm just the 3 eyed raven.

In Soldo Bolton Cotchin Astbury Edwards
out Chol Butler Ellis Garthwaite Higgins

THE AFL INJURY list is dated june 18th ,we play june 30th, so almost 2 weeks to go,lambert was 1-2 which means 0-1 for saints game.

Just got to get some really good IN's on their way back over the next 2 weeks. No more injuries and no more setbacks and we can have a tilet over the last 7-8 games !

If we can get the last 4 games into our full A team (minus Rance) leading into finals, you just never know what miracle we might get in September! o_O

Channel 7 news tonight reported we get Cotch, Eddy, Lambert, Astbury & Short back this week...those ins (minus shorty who surely wouldn’t be an automatic in) would be huge & will go a long way to winning this week...

Can’t imagine Shorty going straight in, I’d have thought via the VFL.

Lambo will not be sent out onto that concrete ground after battling achilles tendinitis and will surely return via some regulated game time in the VFL , same for Short who has lost his spot in the side to Stackman anyway.

Might be worth playing Jayden up the ground and across half forward in the 2's for a few weeks, because thats the only way hell likely get back into the seniors or if he can unseat Ellis off the Wing.

Butler, George, Higgins, Naish, Baker and Ellis have all the pressure on them now.

IN - Cotchin, Dave, Sheds, and Shai ..........still unsure re Soldo if he should come back in.

Out - Take your pick from Ellis, Higgins, Butler, Menadue, Garthwaite, Naish, Baker and Rioli.

Will be an interesting selection meeting this week. Whoever we pick they could be in for a touch match on Sunday if we go in over confident like we did with the Doggies earlier this season. I don't buy that just because the Saints had a bad last match, they wont turn up against us

Bakers is delivering. What more does he have to do? Automatic selection for mine. You don’t drop in form players. Ellis probably done enough.
Agree with the rest

For outs I raise you Garth, Naish, Menadue and Higgins

.

When fit Short can release Edwards back to the midfield, we have missed his creativity in there.

We cant win a flag from here. But the year has already been profitable and the process of blooding young players should continue with a conservative approach taken with players returning from injury, particularly from muscle tissue injury.

In no particular order youngsters Baker, Balta, Bolton, Chol, Rioli, Ross and Stack are our future and when fit should be kept in.

(I don’t know if the decision to drop Bolton had something to do with salary negotiations with Ralph. if it did that was madness as was the decision not to bring him back for the Adelaide game. With the conditions and Lynch and Chol contesting in the forward line and his courage plus his speed and accuracy, he could have made the difference)?

Anyway v Saints and pending form in the VFL tomorrow,
In Bolton Edwards Markov Turner
Out Broad Garthwaite Higgins Menadue (all omitted, with consequent positional changes especially in
defence required).

B McIntosh Balta Grimes
HB Stack Edwards Captain, Houlie
C Bolton Martin Vice Captain, Ellis
HF Rioli Castagna Butler
F Caddy Lynch Baker
R Chol Graham Prestia
I/C Markov Naish Turner Valistuin
Em Collier-Dawkins

No risks should be taken with soft tissue issues at Marvel. Ever.
News about Edwards Graham and Markov suggests they are unlikely. Astbury though appears a certain starter.
We are hitting the bottom of the well and fortunate to be facing the two bottom teams in a row.
Out Garthwaite Higgins Menadue omitted, Graham injured, with Broad Butler and Castagna holding on by a thread.
In Astbury Bolton Cameron-Jones and Collier-Dawkins.

B Astbury Grimes Stack
HB Rioli Valistun Houlie
C McIntosh Martin Capt, Ellis
HF Collier-Dawkins Balta Naish
F Caddy Lynch Baker
R Chol Bolton Prestia
I/C Broad Butler Castagna Cameron-Jones

Drop Baker? What has he done wrong?

Drop Naish? He's been fantastic!!!

Some people haven't got a clue!

I'd keep Bakes and Naish!

I'd also consider using Chol and CCJ as a forward/ruck combination.
