Changes v The Bombres

Tiger 71 is reporting that CCJ is almost certain to go to GCS for a first and second with second going back to GCS as well.
So we give pick in late 20s and ccj
We get back pick 5,23.
Now things can happen that throws this out such as jack and lynch getting a long term injury etc.
We put years into CCJ only to let him go when Jack will be in most likely his last year. Just wouldn't make sense unless he definitely wants to leave or it's a offer to good to refuse.

All those 3 situations were real with legit offers from other clubs.
Broad or Markov were definitely off to gcs untill broad came back into the side and changed his mind.
Marlion was going to be part of a Cerra deal which fell through.
Ccj had a sure fire offer from GWS but tiges didn't want to be let him go with Soldo injury.
Tiger71 gets his info via people inside Richmond in a field that he works in.
You only have to look at Ben Holland from Richmond whom walked out of Richmond announcing he was off to Adelaide, only to come back and change his mind a few days later.
It's not guessing, but even players don't know if they will accept or stay more often than not.
Yes, they were done deals until they weren't....

GCS - Gold Coast Suns
not
GWS - Greater West Sydney
Thanks Willo,

Are you saying GCS are interested in CJ or that Collingwood traded their 2021 first pick to GCS?

This article says the Pies traded their 2021 to GWS and the rumour FWIW is that GWS are interested in CJ, not GCS (but who really knows). The article also mentions GWS did not give Collingwood their 2021 first rounder in the swap (GWS gave up their 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounders) so the Giants still have their first pick to trade should this unlikely trade transpire.

Bottom line is that he wrong more often than he is right. Anyone can say they were "right at the time" if ultimately proven wrong.

How is Broady ( gone) going at GC this year ?

One of my favourite calls was “we are right into a midfielder , but I can’t say who yet” ffs :rotfl2

I don’t mind a good rumour spinner, however cmon now lets Just not make it up, atleast say you over heard ya barista talking to his Cousin , who had heard from his neighbour’s dog food deliver that his old 4ths cricket team mate had been told ....yadda yadda

Ins: Miller, Edwards, Pickett
Outs: Nankervis, Ralphsmith, Castagna

Knowing the match committee it will be:
Ins: Edwards, Pickett
Outs: Nankervis, Ralphsmith

Least with the game being in perth i don't have to put up with smug essendon supporters crowing..
Lynch and Nank at the same time is a disaster..

So after finally trying a 3 tall forward setup its back to 2

We'll still beat them. Our entire midfield is back. That's where it'll be won or lost. CCJ and Chol are enough to counter the loss of Lynch.
In the ruck yes it's going to hurt as Nank plays like a mid.

They have their 2 meter Peter Wright out and not sure if Draper will be back. They do however have that big lug of ruckman Andrew Phillips in.

Agree, reckon Dimma will think the team balance will be too top heavy if they opt to add in Ryan given Essendrugs is only playing one ruck (Phillips). CCJ and or Pickett to assist Chol in the ruck and Caddy to switch wing if Pickett pinch hits in the ruck and forward if CCJ pinch hits in the ruck

Agree it will be the latter.

Essendon will play one of Phillips or Draper imo.

Chol, CCJ and Pickett to rotate in the ruck. Caddy and Dusty to play forward, particularly with Edwards back.

We need a big man in defence to do the work Nanks did so for me it is obvious that Ben Miller gets his first game as our defencive gorilla

Bingo

No I would still play Riewoldt as a high forward.

If we revert to two key forwards we will struggle to score again.

Jack R could become the best goal assist player in the league if allowed to wheel and go in space.

Keep the faith with what worked last week. We kicked over 100 points for a reason.

If that means Ryan plays as a replacement for Nank, so be it. Don’t blink, Tigers!

In: Ryan, Edwards, Pickett
Out: Nankervis (inj), Ralphsmith, Castagna

Caddy, Martin, Bolton, Edwards, Aarts rotating forward as smalls / mediums.

Forget about the forward press, just kick a squillion goals.
