Been thinkingbl this a while now. Teams are stacking up to block our leads and intercept.
Makes our smalls ineffectual too.
Just chaos in and block the exits.

We have been give a huge leg up here not having to play them in Perth in front of their rabid fans on their home deck in comfort.

We have them off a short break travelling to GC from Perth and , we have them COLD at Metricon.

They have'nt had a game at Metricon last week so they will need to get used to it again.

This is the biggest and best gift the AFL has afforded us this season.

We MUST take advantage of it this is the most important game of our season make no mistake this is for the top 4.

If we beat the Eagles this week we our chances of winning the flag go up exponentially.

Getting them in QLD now instead of over there could well end up in hindsight being the game that launched us to another flag as I believe our win over them last year was.

Convert 25% better we beat them

Here's hoping that is the case.

Agree wholeheartedly. It's funny how eagles nuffies seem to think we should play them there, i mean how many more home games do they want in Perth they have had 7 straight. Our chosen hub is QLD but we have also played away games in Syd, Adelaide and Darwin, so apart from QLD eagles only played in Perth, go figure.
Eagles cant bring up the 4 days break, most clubs have already been delt that card including us when played port on a 4-day break plus travelled on the same day of the game.

You're right Craig they haven't played Metricon in over 2 months so this is the perfect opportunity to get them.

I have always said the way to beat the eagles is to put insane pressure on them. They are a very skilful team who like to keep possession, rely on pinpoint passing, so if we allow them time to execute they'll cut us up. But as we did at the G in 2017 and 2019 we put intense pressure on the ball carrier which forced them into errors.
Another thing we must not do is bomb into fwd 50 where McGovern and Barrass will likely intercept.
No doubt Dimma and Co saw how easy McGovern was picking off all delivery coming into GWS fwd 50

Dermie once said McGovern isn't accountable for his man so tell your forward to go up the ground 'around fwd 50' and go through him, no bombing.

For about a month we were kicking relatively straight but last 2 weeks to much bombing and to many missed shots at goal.
Hoping we can rectify that part of our game again especially how many inside 50's we have had the last 2 games V Ess and GC

I know Mabs hasn’t been great the past two weeks but I worry about playing two specialist ruckmen.
Broad a certainty to return.
Stack 50/50.
Very interesting selection tonight..

The ball for the eagles tomorrow night will be like handing a cake of soap.
As soon as the ball got wet last weekend (GWS,) they conceded 3 goals in a space of 10 minutes.
They are a pure 'dry ball' side.
I can't stand Simpson. He thinks he is a real coach.
Time to deflate them tommorow nigh.
Where's the Queensland storms?
i always get when i go there'

If we win this game it will equate to the "second coming."

Big challenge next-up v West Coast

“It’s going to be probably our toughest test for the whole season because you usually have at least one or two players in the opposition that don’t lack the offensive talent or flair or ability to kick a goal. Whereas West Coast sort of have it in every position. As a backline group, we can’t be asleep this week, obviously. They’ve got great aerial targets and then also great ground-level options as well.”

As we all know it’s a blooody funny season, however we are still in Dreamtime mode and we have a game tomorrow night, and are I say the biggest game of the year

Browny said last night that August/September its dry in QLD and isnt humid, so unfortunately will probably be similar conditions to Perth. Either way will be an interesting game, yes they are coming off one day less break but were coming off Darwin which for years people have said that teams play poorly and have no energy after those games..

As others have said we need to be smarter with our i50 entries and if we can be efficient it will go a long way to a good result.

Yep pressure and tackling that needs to lift, lower our eyes in our 50 and smalls need to have a impact.
