Will be an interesting off season.

Ellis will have a decision to make, he will most certainly be offered a lot more money to leave than we can afford to pay him. Big decision coming up.

With Bolton and Baker breaking through this year I wonder if we'd look at trading Butler if someone came to us with a good offer. I'd expect a top 30 pick back.

Reckon Chol, Weller and possibly Townsend will be let go off the rookie list. Moore not sure, but he may be let go too.

Grigg gone. Surely Titch will play on, Houli more than likely another year.

Presumably would come down to Moore, Miller and Menadue.

It’s a fun thread to read back through.
Just pick a page at random and wander down memory lane.

The better the club has got with finances and management, the better our list and win/loss has gotten.

Makes you wonder how many good players we burned before the club was managed properly.

Totally agree, You couldn’t be that unlucky that a million of your first rounders turn out to be duds.

Agree on butler & Moore but I think they’ll get homes elsewhere. That’s our 3 mandatory draft spots.

Chol Weller & Towner are all good players and as rookies I’d prefer to keep them if they are happy to stay.

Brandon would get a better offer but I suspect he’ll have to live at a club well down the ladder and that will help keep him home with us.

I think Chol has now guaranteed a spot on the list next year, a month is a long time in footy.

I'm more and more convinced that both Butler and Ellis will be playing elsewhere next year.

I’ve just had a quick look at the list size rules.

A club can have 47 players.
That includes primary list, rookies, and Cat B rookies.

1. On the Primary list we can have between
38 and 40 players.

2. On the rookie list we can have between
4 and 6 Cat A rookies, depending on the
amount of players on the primary list.

Primary & rookie list must = 44.

3. We can also list Between 0 and 3. CAT B
rookies. That is optional.

So if we have 38 players we can have 6 rookies.
39 players - we can have 5 rookies
40 players - we can have 4 rookies.

At the start of the season we had 45 players.
38 primary list.
(As above)

6 A rookies
Towner Weller Chol Baker Stack Aarts.

1 B rookie.
Eggles.

It’s still the same now with Grigg off, Stack upgraded, and Pickett added as a rookie.

Obviously I don’t know the details of each players contract

Just can’t help thinking that salary cap retirement and salary upgrade needs will greatly effect our off season activities

Despite the Stack success if we do need to trade out for salary cap reasons would liken us to trade for pick upgrades and not do a large turnover

Just shows how tough this player list development is.

McIntosh extended for two years in July but now seemingly out of favour and being asked to re-invent himself.

Chol possibly on last chance, given an undeserved opportunity (open due to injury not Chol form), and now looking at getting an extension.

Chol moved from delist to keep within a few weeks.
Be interesting ti see who is delisted.
