Interesting that Saker has resigned as Australian bowling coach. I wonder what the reason for that is, Langer?

Who does Matty Wade have to get "pictures" of to get a game for Australia. The selectors are a real buncha nuffies.

I was having a few beers at my brother's house last night and we flicked on the Big Bash. As Cutting walked out to open the batting with the kid Bryant, my brother remarked it was good idea to send a pinch-hitter out to open. My response was that if only Cutting were a better bowler he'd be a good all-rounder.

Then. Wow. That was the best 10 overs of sustained hitting from two batsmen I have ever seen. 94 runs off the first 6 overs, 0/157 in 10 and game over. Bryant got to 50 off 20 balls, Cutting 17. Ridiculous. Amazing to watch. They just kept going. Clean strikes.

A nail biting test between South Africa and Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka are 9/291 chasing 304. Perera is 142 and Fernando is 6. They have scored 65 runs for the tenth wicket.

Edit Perera hits a six, they now need 7 runs.

Amazing result for Sri Lanka. Especially away in Durban.
With the Windies beating England the next few years of tests may be interesting

Perera treated world class bowlers in Steyn and Rabada with contempt. It didn't matter when they took the new ball, he just continued to smash them. In the context of the situation some of the best batting/hitting that i've seen.

What are the Stars doing!!!! They were cruising at 0/93 needing 146 and have lost 4 for 6 ???

Edit

They've now lost 6 for 15 :o

The “Stars” have just performed the biggest choke in Australian sport since Greg Norman at the 96 Masters. They’re the most overrated team in the history of Australian sport. All the big names all the hype but they couldn’t win a chook raffle. If they couldn’t win today they’ll never win.

And seriously they need to change their name. They’re just embarrassing themselves by calling themselves the “Stars”.
