Maybe not, but he's easily superior to Bancroft. He will certainly start in The Ashes, then it's up to him.

I'll make a call. He'll score a ton at some point in the series. He has 8 - not a hell of a lot of Aussies have scored 10 test centuries. Maybe 25 blokes have done it.

Maxwell is getting better with his brain fades, but he still does lapse. The score was 2/5 when he came in and 89 when he went out, wouldn't have won the game without him.

After a shaky start 2/27 chasing 300, the Vics are to 2/86, needing about 4 an over.

Watching the Vics online, Harris is a fantastic player off the back foot. Vics 4/212 needing another 88.

With Burns and Harris making runs, Burns got a 180 in the last test against Sri Lanka, and 60 and 80 in the current shield game against the Vics, Harris got 95 with a dodgy decision in the 1st innings and 174 in the 2nd innings of the same shield game, does Warner come straight back in for the 1st Ashes test, i say no?

Well the Vics made hard work of finishing it off but a great win by them.

On Harris, he’s a good bat and the good thing about his weakness (driving at wide balls off balance) is an easy fix (well should be!)

Maxwell you star, a match winning champion. You'd have to go a long way to see a better innings than that.
I thought Kohli's innings was something else, but Maxwell's was better 113 off 55 balls.
Now to watch the end of England's ODI innings, they're 345 off 44 overs.

Agree. Sensational.
One intriguing thing about that match is that India's innings was so explosive and I was surprised at the end they'd made "only" 190.
Australia's innings, on the other hand, appeared almost pedestrian in nature - Maxwell just seemed to pace it so well.

And I wish someone would teach Matthew Hayden how to not say "ahshtraya".
