Cricket

This is great.

One frustration I do have is, why in God’s name do we spend so much time bowling short and giving away runs to the tail.

Broad can’t defend the stumps to save his life and we’ll give him 6 short balls in a row instead.

because they crap their daks and cave?

Labuschagne is made of the right stuff. I hope he keeps working on his leggies as well as his batting, he's very handy with the ball with the potential to be better.

Great stuff by the bowlers.

But by god these are two poor batting lineups.

Shame Wade and Brearley fell late...going to stumps 4 down would have been good.

We’ve got enough runs already. Just brilliant viewing last night.

Went to bed at lunch thinking they would scratch out a few more runs.

lol what a joke.

anything over 300 should be enough but still need a few more as who knows - they only need 1 player to stand up to make it close and I have seen us lose some close games over there in the past

The poms are spineless lol

And fragile too.

Root has done Australia a big favour by misusing Archer.
Archer missed the 1st test because of injury, and then on debut in the 2nd test he was used as a stock bowler after bowling like lightning. In the 1st innings he bowled 29 overs which was more than Woakes and Stokes combined, and then in the 2nd innings he bowled more overs than Broad, Woakes and Stokes combined.

He bowled well in the 1st innings of this test, but his pace was way down, and went off with severe cramp in the 2nd innings.
Well done Root you've cooked your strike bowler.

It will take something out of the box by this woeful England batting order to beat us from here but let's get 100 more anyway. Would love to see Labuschagne ton up.

Next test, Labuschagne at 3 and Smith at 4, Uzzy can carry the drinks.

Only Atherton had the balls to say it but the right call would be to drop Paine, let Wade keep and Cummins captain, but it’d be a rough call to do that to the first bloke to win (or retain) the Ashes in England since 2001.

And play another bowler or batsmen?
It would be a tough call, i think Paine deserves to finish the series as Captain. He became Captain at a very difficult time, and has done a good job.
