The Vic's (after winning 4 of the last 8 Sheffield shield titles) are blooding a lot of youth in Chandrasinghe, Kellaway (nephew of Duncan btw), Sutherland, Harper, O'Neill, Elliott and McLure from this game alone then there's Crone, Evans, Fraser-McGurk, Parker, Perry and Harvey and possibly Pucovski. And of course the Vics supplied the PMs XI with Harris, Hanscomb and Murphy.

Tassie are rolling out with the aged ex Victorian in Siddle, the aged ex NSW Bird and the aged Wade, the overweight park cricketer in Freeman, perennial state level guys in the ex QLDer in McDermott, ex NSW Silk, Beau Webster, ex NSW Jake Doran and ex NSW Ellis.

There’s Caleb Jewell at 25 yrs old but a FC batting average under 30 and ex NSW Tim Ward at age 24 who still have time to develop. So it looks like Tassie aren’t blooding much youth, playing a lot of old guys, playing a lot of bit players from interstate. In a bit of no man’s land IMO, not supplying future quality National players and too much mediocrity to win a shield.

Geez doesn't say much for the Vics and other states for that matter if such a poor team is beating them.

I didn't even know the test started today, again I've got to say the CA marketing is beyond bad.

CA is a train wreck.

Re the Test starting like you I had no idea either.

Never thought I would see the day when I wouldn't see the first day of an Aussies v Windies Test Series, or even worse not even be aware it was on.

I put on ch9 in the evening but some rubbish was on so I assumed the day was over.
A white layer I flicked on ch7. Looks like they are showing the tests now.

Yeah I know, just sick of hearing him all the time...

I suppose we'll declare at 500.
Hopefully 600.

I backed Smith to top score ($5.90 with GoldBet can you believe!). Once Marnus got north of 150 I was doubting my chances but still in the hunt! Just 47 more Smudge!

You better hope he gets there before Marnus gets his 100.

You back a bloke to top score, he's 200 not out with 4 down and you don't collect. Pissa.

4 for 598 declared n then a few overs into the Windies innings n the Starker delivers a perfect nut crusher to Chanderpaul. I flinched n my eyes started watering from 3000 kliks away.

Not even a full day's play. 75 overs. Basically 5/6 of a day. Could so easily have been 600. Ridiculous scoring for a Test match.
Yeah that's even more amazing  And the 15 overs they lost was because 76 balls got despatched to the boundary or beyond. So they had to chase 12.4 overs/76 balls that went to the fence!!!:ROFLMAO:
