Dustin Martin

Remember Tom Lonergan from the Cats, had a kidney removed, not saying it will be that bad but it's potentially an extremely serious injury.

I recall he was advised to retire because obviously if he stuffed the other one up he would be in some deep poo.

Phil Davis had lacerated kidney but didn't show signs and symptoms until after the game, which he played out.

Fingers crossed for the great man.
Said it on the other thread, but Sam Newman played from 68 to 80 with one functional kidney.

Return to play is typically 2-6 weeks, and he can also wear a kidney guard.

He seemed to grab his side in the identical manner to the Prelim v Gws when he landed on Heater in the goal square late in 3rd quarter. City end. IIRC.
Had a flashback when I saw the way he grabbed his side.
Although this is much worse going off the reports.
Best wishes warrior king.

It's the footy Gods conspiring to help us out.
Force us to rest him and get his foot right too.
We'll lose next week but win the rest and fall in to eighth.
Win a few finals and Martin returns for the Grand Final.
Against Port in Adelaide due to Covid and we win a true away Grand Final against a team at home.
Our crowning glory.
Martin wins a fourth Norm Smith and Cotchin retires a four-time premiership captain.
SHocking decides to stay at AFL House because "the job is not done".
