Golf

Not only has Rahm got a club foot, he’s bloody cross eyed. Couldn’t put to save himself.

Rahm back in it after eagling 7, thought he was going to get an albatross, 3 shots behind now.

Rahm striping it with everything but the putter. Missed 5 makeable putts in 9 holes. Wow.

If Spieth was putting for Rahm he would have broken 60 today

Spieth putting the lights out as usual. Freak.
Tiger’s the clear best I’ve seen at sinking must make putts , however Speith is like you say MDJ just a freak at those long putts, had the yips with the short ones a couple years back I think ?

Agree 12ft-15ft must make is Tiger all the way.
Morikawa made 2 x15ft for par after finding rough next to green on back nine. Steely nerves.
was a great watch the final round, links golf is always fun.

So good the British Open , really like the horrendous condition ones. Again how good is the British crowd compared to the Yanks

The wind died down for the afternoon players!!! In some ways I doubt morikawa wins if it blows given it was his first BO. Disappointing tournament for the Aussies

Not sure the facts , however it seems like Cam Smith is the only one who’s regularly in contention

Outstanding from Morikawa. Gutsy. Tough. Signalled his strength on the first tee with the best drive of the day - 320 yards into the wind, straight down the pipe. Brilliant round. (Note: Why did Morikawa tee off first on the 1st tee Oosti being the lower overall score ???)

Previous round score ?

I’ve backed him at $17 as well. If anyone can go low it’s him. Needs Oosti and Morikawa to stumble or be pretty standard though.

If you can catch a replay of the final round you'll see the first ever genuine chance at a sub 60 major round missed. He had up to 8 genuinely makeable putts that I recall not drop. At worst he should have been right up there with Collllin. It was remarkable striking.

I know. First 9 was especially infuriating to watch. Missed every 6 to 15 foot putt. Oosti was annoying to watch as well. His iron shots on the front 9 were terrible.

Just to change the focus for a moment - did anyone watch the finish of the USPGA event (Barbasol) this morning?

Today it went to the sixth playoff hole with an Irishman Seamus Power winning
A couple of weeks ago it was Cam Davis winning on the 5th playoff hole and the week before that Harris English won on the 8th playoff hole

Each time I’ve flicked on to just see the last couple of holes and then been stuck watching for half the morning
But riveting stuff

Amazing scenes at the finish of the 2021 PRE Snowman Cup !!!! In a historic first, we have a tie. Yes, a tie. Shocked fans all over the world.

Scooter puts in the equal second best round of the day (-2) to tie with a solid but tiring Brian Taylor to both finish at -4. Oosti lets BT down and Scooter's selection of Jazz and Rahm sees him catch BT. Well done to both. If anyone has Scott Scheffler's email address I'd greatly appreciate it.

Another notable but not unexpected outcome, is that Burnside finishes last. Again. My pep talk to Mad Cow and Spook sees them both save the embarrassment of getting beaten by him.

Final round average was 69.6 meaning a +2 score for those players not making the cut.

That concludes the majors for this year. Check your scores. Well done to all and good day.
