Stop arguing you two - I think I've got you blokes covered anyway!
Wasn't sure about signing off on my own score (still struggling with my dislocated neck from looking at Mr B's pics)

Lowry -9
C.Smith -20
Fleetwood -14
Scott -10
L.Herbert -10
MW Lee -9
Varner -8
Poulter -3

Top 6 total is -72 but happy to let the scorers check my card.

You only count your best 6 players in each round, despite having all 8 available. So you look at each round individually, discard the 2 worst scores in each and then add up the rest.

But if I've done the calc correctly you actually *smile* it in with -84! Helps getting all 8 players through so you've got more choice.

I made this in excel and had nice colours to highlight which rounds weren't counted, but it doesn't copy across to PRE.
So the rounds that I've excluded from the totals at the bottom are:

Round 1 - Scott Ev, Varner +1
Round 2 - Poulter ev, Fleetwood -3
Round 3 - Smith +1, Herbert +1
Round 4 - Scott -1, Poulter 2

Pretty sure I've got this right...

8 players all under par - well done T-man. A record that will never be beat.

Pretty sure C. Smith says “F** beauty” or “F** yeah” straight after putting out on 18. Heh heh heh…Queenslander.

Yeah at the time I lip read it as “F** yeah” - summed it up perfectly at that moment didn't it?
He'd beaten Young and knew it would take a 1000/1 shot by Rory to take it off him.

BTW - I've just got home from seeing "The Phantom of the Open" - based on the true story of Maurice Flitcroft and his 121 in the 1976 British Open qualifying.
Not sure if it's been discussed here at all - but it very enjoyable and well worth seeing.

What a great year Cam has had, won The Players Championship, and The Open, and finished T-3 in the Masters.
After the 1st 2 holes on the final day of the Masters he was 1 shot behind the leader, and eventual winner Scottie Scheffler.
He also finished T-13 in the US PGA Championship.

What an even better year it would've been if he had won the Masters.

This aged well Leon :)
Hey, Mopsy. I felt so frustrated by Cam throwing wins away that I got an address for him from the Aust PGA and emailed him this, because he replied,
" You're right mate. I need to straighten up and get my driving act together. Thanks heaps, mate. So cool."
This was on Fri after his 1st rd. Then he went out and shot 64 Rd.2.

Unfortunately, relapsed into bad old ways Rd.3, but responded again to say. "Sorry, I will get it right when it matters." I said, "Go for it, mate. It's yours for the taking charging from 4 behind while they've almost got the engraver etching Rory's name on the trophy already. They've written you off."

Replied, " OK, cool."

The rest is history, mate. I'm taking full credit. (y)

I’m taking full credit leon Spinks.
Lucky for Smith he’s got a great pitching and putting game because he’s bloody ordinary off the tee. Last two rounds he’s hit it everywhere. A persistent problem for him: big hooks, with hold off blocks.

135th for driving accuracy on Tour and 142nd for total driving.

Reckon St Andrews will really suit him. Very safe to the left. Will knock in a heap of putts.

These commentators drooling over Rory every time he plays a shot will turn me off him.
Ha the drool really turned into dribble at their bitter end. It was quite sickening.

E.G. I couldn't stay up so late as to watch Cam's Rd.2 - the first brilliant 64 - but followed the other Aussies on before bed, thinking I will just catch up with Cam's rd next day. But, by the time I got to it, all that was available on Kayo was a 3hr highlights package. Sure it featured Cam's notable birdies etc in a quick grab in the first hour in what didn't even look like FHD.
Thereafter, featured every shot of Rory's and big rep yanks like Schauffle and Schleffer and whoever in great detail, like almost every shot.

Outrageous stuff. Who was the leader, after posting a record score?
