Jack Ross

Jack Ross is the least of our problems. Look at the games from Prestia, Jack, Pickett etc tonight. Keep playing the guy he is the future not like some other more creditable ex guns

Exactly. One of his best games. Keep playing him. Look composed. And by foot was good.

one of our better players tonight
absolutely he was but still people running him down on here. Big work rate and used it well with some composure, his hit up to Dusty about the only one all night.
He is ahead of Macintosh

Too slow to make the right decision when he gets it. I wanted him to get a good run of games but I think he doesn't have enough afl attribute

Five

People are frustrated. They want him to be an A grade Mid. He was a pick 43. They're seeing what they want to see.
That's right, 43.

He's a Joe average. He's not bad. Not good. He's a role player. Don't blame him, or Clarke for him not being a match winning "super-hunk".
But ffs, stop looking for his head, just because we've lost. Especially when he's trying his guts out for our club.

He was ok tonight, still room for improvement but as the General said above, is never going to be a gun mid. In a good team he would play his role and be valuable, but asking too much for him to make up for the deficiencies we show when we play this badly. I have been critical of him but he is definitely improving and he has only played 50 games, plus, he gets thrown around too much, give him a position (or even a limited number of similar positions) and a role to play and he can be a good player.

He’s a middle of the ground player, so why not play him there. Dow out, Ross into midfield rotations and Pickett back to his wing. Maybe McIntosh to have a spell on other wing for Ralphsmith or Banks.

Look I thought he was pretty good.

Did a spinning handball to advantage i think in Q4 that I thought was glamour.

IF he can bring just a little more AFL level glamour he might be a serviceable foot soldier. But I still have doubts.

He was good by foot. It stood out.
That said when Jack Ross is one of your better kicks you've got issues as a club.
I’ve always liked Jack. He’s been played pillar to post which is on Hardwick’s ridiculous obsession of playing players out of position - and that is another problem with team structure, lack of confidence and bloody confusion on the ground.

Jack has played through all of the MC’s mismanagement of him and gives it his all. And he’s improving and he looks like an AFL footballer with grunt and is hard at it.

Just keep playing him Hardwick in the guts for #%^}}># sake !!!!!

Jacky Ross musta had a decent game last night, there's no-one calling for his head today. Nuts n bolts honest hard working player, now we just need to put some silk around him so we have someone to do the fancy *smile*.
