Kamdyn McIntosh

Re: Welcome Kamdyn McIntosh at pick 31

Sort of a cross between McGuane and Tambling with that kicking action. 2 wrongs make a right it seems.

Your like me Phantom, a soft spot for old fashion wingers.

Are they really old fashioned? Or is it just we haven't had one (excluding Grigg) for years on end?

Looks like a very good decision maker.

Quick decisions on the tape and all at least impeccable. Sometimes inspired. Kicking? Not many on the run can fade a football to a leading forward. Money kick, glamourously executed. Porno highlight reel. Hope he can play like this all the time at AFL level one day.

Just one other comment on his reel. At every contest you'd swear he believes that he's a class above those around him. Then he proves it. Not at all surprised to read that he was given the opportunity at WAFL level.

Agree with most that he looks like an outside mid prospect.

The big Carlton sticker on the back of the car is a bit of a worry!

And in late breaking news, Mark Neeld has signed Kamdyn's 8 year old sister, based on the footage of her having a kick in the front yard :hihi

Re: Welcome Kamdyn McIntosh at pick 31

No-one concerned that he refuses to kick on his left? Definitely liked his run and carry but I'd be more comfortable knowing he has got a good left foot on him as well.

He's pretty dual sided from what what I've seen

Open your peepers GO, 40sec mark off the club highlights slots a 50m LEFT foot sausage.

Seen him a bit then? If so that's comforting to know.

Yeah a couple of games, not heaps. He was very good off both feet. Pretty unusual kicking action, but it's effective.

Pointed out on another forum that he's only been playing AFL for about 4 years, it's remarkable he has such good skills. He's very talented.

Ever see R.Harvey or J.Hird kick on their left? I know I didn't. Dual sidedness is overrated - if you're good enough.

Dual sided obviously preferable, but if you're good enough. i.e you have the prescience to see the play unfold in front of you, and position yourself accordingly, you can get away with it. Scott Lucas was a magician with his ability to get onto his left, somehow sold the illusion he had a right almost every time. Few and far between those players.

Really like this. Seems to be a stand up kinda guy, very impressive. Obviously very self disciplined. Wouldn't be too worried about the go home factor, no doubt he loves his family, but he comes across as a reality king. He'll probably contribute to his family by playing football to the highest level possible, then he, and his family will reap the rewards. Mr.Wolf. Taking care of business.

Wonder if he's related to either the McIntosh of the 1992 & 94 Westcoast teams.

This kid is a 192cm skinny negating defender in the Will Thursfield mould.

Might be a good kid, but I can't fathom the logic in taking him over a genuine midfielder or mobile tall forward.

But good luck, hope he does well.

Who knows, maybe the club wanted insurance for Grimes in the draft ! With news Dylan has done yet another hammy this pick looks like good ass covering material. Wouldn't be holding my breath for Grimes to ever be a regular player unless he has some sort of miracle in his back pockett.

Like the look of that. Can't imagine we're going to be questioning his work ethic or bailing him out of too many lock ups at 2am. Just hope he's not going to get too homesick.

Good call was thinking the same.

Re: Welcome Kamdyn McIntosh at pick 31

If he proves his versatility then there's nothing preventing him from taking the odd stroll in the forward line. I would imagine a 192cm endurance athlete would knock up long leads to the mcg wings in the last quarter. Particularly with 2/2 subs. Astute drafting with one eye on impending flow of the game.

Hello Ryan o'keefe.
