Long term I can see him ending up in the midfield. Like the look of the kid.

West Coast were contemplating using their first pick on him.

So were Freo till Simpson lasted. ;)

The big question is that will he become the first Kamdyn to ever play AFL footy?

Read something about him being top 10 in the kicking test, and him having elite skills on either side of the body. It's in inside footy mag, so I think his disposal is a probably not a problem. Maybe just his size and where he plays...

Yep, 9th with a score of 27/30 according to http://www.afl.com.au/Offseason/DraftCombine/Latestresults/tabid/18439/Default.aspx

Agree with others though, his kicking action looks awkward to say the least.

I will have a look at his highlights again but at first glance his kicking reminded me of McGuane's kicking style.

FWIW if Dean Towers was off the board then Sydney would have used their first pick on McIntosh.

Some of the reactions remind me of when we drafted Batch. Given my knowledge is limited to a few youtube highlights, I am happy to sit back and have faith in FJ and the club.

Kamdyn certainly has a nice highlights reel. Looks a little like the Collingwood player James Clement.

Tony Notte :rofl

Don't laugh too hard, we took his fellow key forward David Gourdis.

Not with a late first round/early second round pick (No.20) though.

Gourdis started life as a PSD pick, albeit a high one (No.1).

In looking at both players, I am sure the layman would suggest Gorudis appeared to have more going for him than Notte, irrespective of wher they wer picked up.

Notte was a howler. The best thing the Eagles did was make an early call.

Re: Welcome Kamdyn McIntosh at pick 31

doesnt look that awkward too me. Kicks a ripper on the left off 1 step from 50. Looks quite a unique footballer - a cross between glen jakovich and nathan foley :headscratch. I reckon we'll get 400 games out of our first two picks. Nice work FJ

Have to say probably the most excited about this kid then the rest of our pick ups.

Fantastic pick up. Kid can play defence and also be that big bodied midfielder as he has amazing endurance.

Well dont Tiges.

Agree with the post that compares him to Embley - I actually thought he was Embley in a few of the highlights packages, I look forward to him hanging a norm smith around his neck ;D one day.

http://www.footballnation.com.au/latest-news/draft-prospect-in-focus-kamdyn-mcintosh/

"DISCIPLINED defender that is closely being looked at by Geelong for its first round selection. Can play on talls and smalls and has a terrific endurance that will allow him to rebound with purpose out of defence.

Can also push up to the wing and play more of a swingman role. Was touted as a mid draft selection just weeks ago but the Cats are eyeing the talented defender much earlier."

- Cats in the end went with Thurlow
