I'm going to attempt here to qualify the Vic U18 stats up & including R8.
Players need to have played in 3 games to qualify.

It will be done in averages.
M = matches
ADE = Ave Disposals Effective
Amks = Ave Mks
Atkls = Ave tackles
THO = Total Hit Outs
AHO = Ave Hit Outs

Again, the source data is through Prowess/FootballVic website.

Unfortunately, the formatting may not be crash hot again.
I hope you enjoy.

Some of you may now understand more clearly why Brendan Tyquin was so very upset at his lack of support, in being excluded from the Metro Vic squad. Especially when those with authority in its selection go running around crying that there arent enough quality big men going around.

Me thinks that the Metro Vic selectors may do less whinging, and study the kpi's better.

Finding prefered positions of players over a season is not easy, as many players at this level move around alot. That's why I post the named teams every week. IE, pick a name then just look it up on the named teams which I usually post on a Friday morning.

I will, over the weekend, endeavour to build a spreadsheet of each player with their respective heights & weights, so that this data can be included with the kpis.

Many people at Sandy, as well as some 'unbiased' viewers say, as textbook ruckwork goes, Rob Warnock is just about the best junior in the country. Have you seen enough of him to comment Phantom?
I'll be heading to a couple of games soon (Starting July 2) so hopefully I catch a couple of good ones.

What are you trying to signify with the yellow & green Highlights?

Imagine how many goals Prior would kick if he could run!

Yes. I watched Rob for the first time last year. Must admit that I was disappointed that he seemed to not put on any weight over the last off-season. Very good junior textbook ruckman. What impressed me was him ability to get to so many contests. He desperately needs to put on weight. Although competitive, he is beaten by stronger opponents. But as you can see his stats stack up.

Sorry, I use the different colours for my own highlighters. Yellow for players I recall as being >= 6'3". This is because I believe that these types who can pick up close to 20 possies in a game are really special. This was Roughead's great quality last year. Green for goal kicking rovers. Rovers who pick up 20+ possies a game are easy to find. Those that can pick up 20+ possies & 2-3 goals a game are something special, eg Kevin Bartlett & Nathan G Brown.

Prior, another of football's modern day paradoxes. I reckon his first 5 yards are as quick as anybody's, especially on a lead. It's only that he's not capable of any pace > 30metres. Adam Prior is proof that modern day scouts would never give the likes Jason Dunstall a go. He's only 6'2" so he's not going to be an AFL CHF anyway, so he doesn't interest me.

Just out of interest phantom, just wondering which is their position these players normally play.

Thanks Phantom
