Academy-award winning performance from the diva, Hogan. A drama performance rehearsed and mastered from his Melbourne days?

AFL umpires, helplessly spellbound by the performance, reward with a completely unmerited walk up to an open goal with absolutely no awareness given to the opposition. Not even allowed a man-on-the-mark. So blatant simulation repaid with a goal! Watch Hogan make an immediate recovery when the ump signals he can run forward unnoticed. Then, after the goal-line kick, collapses in 'agony' again.

Nankervis only made it a contested mark. As the old footy saying goes, "Made him earn it." Been happening in football forever; numerous times every match. Relatively mild. Just listen to Brereton's comments - he's pretty PC these days - but he says as much.

Have to disagree, would not even get a nomination. He was clutching at the wrong part of his torso, the supposed hit was higher, he's collapsing holding his guts when he was touched on the chest.

Yes but AFL umps such poor 'critics', they never even notice. :(

Might as well take all physical contact out of the game.
If Nank's tiggy touch wood on Jessie invokes a fine then the game stinks.
Did not see, even though watched twice, the supposed hit by Lynch.
Get Richmond seems to be the mantra of the day.

What happens when in his effort to "stay focussed" it results in a player suffering a long term injury?
Yes you've got to applaud his efforts to make sure he's in the best position to judge if it's a goal or not but last week when he actually put himself in the middle of a pack going the spoil?
Needs to develop the nouse to get out of the way.
No sensible person would complain if he'd have got out of the way of Dusty last night and been unable to say if it was a goal or not. It had to go upstairs anyway.

He did a great job, not sure of the angst here. Players collide with each other all game so not sure the "goal ump injures a player" really flies, how often has that actually happened in recorded AFL/VFL history?

There’s another bull poo decision by the Mrp , this time it’s Norfs Tarryn Thomas, check it out on the North melbourne FB page. The ball is free, Thomas running hard to get it, slightly stooped and from the other side comes Hawthorns Jaith, also running hard for the ball. They collide, Jaith goes down dazed. There is nothing Thomas could’ve done, even if he thought they’d collide and made the stupid decision to pull out he couldn’t stop momentum. He had eyes for the ball, no raised elbow or anything, just a collision.

Of course he could have done something different. Wear darker blue horizontal stripes, preferably with No 14 on the back.

I’m just glad Mansell escaped a fine for once.

Anymore and he would be living under a cardboard box at the rate he was going.

what's Lynch's fine for?
In the absence of any video and not seeing it during the match, I can only think the mrp muppet thinks to himself....
He’s had a full wallet so far this year. Christian decided it was time to lighten it a bit.
id like us to challenge both Lynch’s and Nanks’. Both *smile* verdicts.

The AFL has concluded the De Goey/Quaynor investigation, warning issued but no penalty for Collingwood.

No announcement on the Rioli investigation after the AFL said they didn't believe Richmond's version of events. What's taking Inspector Clouseau so long?

*smile* the AFL.

Surprised the AFL didn't use the "pending court proceedings" as the reason they can't comment on the De Goey incident
