Spin the Black Circle - Pearl Jam

Loved Pearl Jam but they day Abbruzesse went so did Pearl Jams hard groove and intensity,

Never the same.

Jack Irons great drummer and Matty Cameron is one of my very favorites and one of my major influences as a drummer and the driving force behind the great Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog, but as great as even Cameron is he doesn't bring the sound or the groove to Pearl Jam as what Dave did.

Drummers are all different even when they play the same groove, different drums different heads different tuning, different interpretation, different cymbals different stroke methods and strike patterns, different sticks different mic'ing up individual signatures if you will.

Abbruzzese was the definitive Pearl Jam drummer of the time where they and the power behind the power of McCreadie, Ament and Gossard and Vedder and a very similar drummer in sound and method to Dave Krusen who recorded TEN before leaving the band hence Abbruzzese fitted in seamlessly until he didnt off stage.

Just my opinon as a drummer I guess others will differ.

I agree and have said to my mates that Cameron's drumming style does not suit Pearl Jam at all; Agree that Abbruzesse did.
Jack Irons suited ''No Code' songs perfectly but when he played earlier PJ material live it just wasn't right.
