Jimmy's gone so I will forget him soon enough aye, but for the future we're stuck with KYLE!!

Offensive Co-Ordinator Atlanta up 28-3 in the Super Bowl, 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Run the ball dude, you had them 5.8 yards a run as well (Patriots 4.2 a run) but only ran it 18 times to Pats 25, just dumb. LOST

Coach of the SF Forty Niners up 20-10 in the Super Bowl, 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Run the ball dude, you had them 6.4 yards a run as well (Chiefs 4.4 a run) but only ran it 22 times to Chiefs 29, just dumb. LOST

Coach of the San Francisco 49ers up 17-07 in the Conference Final, 14 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Loss again, game mis-manager number one. Kyle, you're not like your father, Luke is!! LOST

This is even worse!!

In the 4th quarter of those three big games, Kyle Shanahan teams have been out-scored 53-0!!

53-0 in three quarters of football, WOW!!

You could see the strategy flow of the game starting to favour the Rams mid way through the 3rd quarter.

He didn’t seem to have any answers.

Just loses it, he goes to defensive instead off that confidence and arrogance when things are working. And then it escolates through the whole team.

Watching Kyle teams in big games is like watching Richmond in Finals 2013-2015 :censored:

How do the 49ers hierarchy view this loss, and the season as a whole @Redford @Ricemagic ?

Have to be disappointed with the loss today, but the season a success?

Do they persist with Shanahan or move on from him? Or look for a new offensive co-ordinator instead? Both?

Interesting to see the off season moves.

Just listened to all the Niners pressers after the game, Kyle and all the big name players. And listening now to a San Fran based podcast, an ex NFL scout and his mate who does college games as a commentator, I think Fresno State about 300K's from SF.

Kyle is contracted until end of 2025, so 3 more seasons unless next year we go 7-10, 6-11, 5-12 or worse, miss playoffs might be it for him.

The thing lots of fans were saying in their comments, we started 3-5, then went 9-2 to finish all up 12-7. That ain't so bad taking in the start of the season. Maybe like that Tigers year we started off poorly then won 12 in a row and lost to Port? And yeah, the start of the year Niners I felt like they were going 'is it Jimmy, is it Trey time, is it Jimmy, unleash Trey not sure' approach probably cost a home playoff game, maybe a home Conference Final.

But we did end up second half of year going 9-2 with the three question marks still hanging around us - QB, Kyle and Secondary. But we definitely need to be better with the talent in that squad.

On a side note, Taartt's presser was pretty brutal to listen too, he was acknowledging his error, felt sorry for the bloke, seems like a nice guy, but don't think he'll sleep for a long, long time until/if he helps win a SB.

Offensive Co-Ordinator not sure, if it's Trey, do they knew a new caller, a college coach or someone who knows that hybrid Qb style coming through the league, don't know if our current caller is good at that.

Interesting one for U man. Andy Reid is 1 Super Bowl win, 2 Super Bowl losses and 6 Championship Game losses.

1 win, 8 losses in the two biggest games. Hmmm

At the end of the day, considering the weapons the Chiefs have, their record over the past 4 years would have to be considered a fail.

Did what they had to do last season by strengthening the Offensive Line.

Now its onto the defence, a quality pass rusher and some new blood in the secondary very much required.

U would think in this day and age of 'pass, pass, pass, pass' the first thing straight after a QB is a strong secondary/cornerbacks. But no man, they load up on other non-essential positions. Your team and mine both need secondary assistance.

It was a much much better season than it was looking like being. It looked like we were going to miss the playoffs by a mile, have a QB controversy and stuff up a young QB that we paid way overs for (that’s another story) and we were gonna be left in turmoil.

Instead, we got back on the winning trail, got deep into the playoffs using a very average QB, let Trey learn and develop, and did it all still knowing that we most definitely have to move on from Garoppolo.

Still a few gaps in that team but the key next year is Trey Lance obviously. Otherwise a good 21-22 season.

Bungals in the Superbowl.

Chiefs starting to stink like runner-up Scumwood again.

Chiefs decision just before half time to go for the TD instead of the FG showed the symptoms of an arrogant football team. Had they gone for a FG then they would have won with the FG before the end of the game instead of just tying it.

Just dumb football. Take the easy points and extend your lead.

Go Bengals.*
A very tigerish win, just ground down the opposition who had no answer or way to score after half time.
Brilliant!

* originally a Bears fan but have picked up the Cinci B's due to a work associate that is providing me much support in the US. So I've supported them this January and been impressed

I don't necessarily think going for the touchdown was the wrong call.

It was the play call itself that was all wrong.

With so little time left on the clock, and no time outs remaining, it had to be a quick strike into the endzone. If its an incomplete pass there is still a couple of seconds left to kick the field goal.

Passing it to Hill on about the 5 yard line, when you are already at about the 1, was the dumb part about it all. The fact it wasn't a great pass only made it worse.
