Nick Vlastuin

Now I’m relatively new to the game, so DBJ is an AA half back and Nick Vlaustin is not, that can’t be right

Thought he may have cost us the game with that free.
Went nuts.
Anyway forgiven just like I forgave Rioli for that 50. At the time I said , we’ve lost it .

I'm a Vlastuin fan but he's slipped a little in form.

At best now All Australian.

We expect better than that at Richmond.

Thought he was immense on Friday. Read the play wonderfully well. Was strong in the upper body and didn’t waste a pill. Still gave away that ridiculous free kick. Ultra smart footballer who enjoys a brain fade.

That free kick was a classic case of go to tackle the opposition player, everyone is moving around, and the opposition player goes down a little and you get him high.

It was close to goal so the defender must go for the tackle, but everything is moving so fast it is easy to get them high.

You could see the look on Vlastuin's face that he knew he had just managed to get him high, took his arm away quick too but just couldn't avoid it.

I don't think it was ridiculous at all, just one of those things that happens in the heat of the moment. Don't blame Vlastuin at all.

Thought the tackle was around the shoulder rather than over it. Didn't appear clear-cut. Ladhams either dropped or lost the ball in the tackle so at a stretch it may have been fair to ping Vlastuin for holding on too long, but at the end of a cut-throat final, play-on was the appropriate call for mine.

Maybe Stevic was getting death threats from over the fence.

Port and Geelong players actively play for free kicks.
Ladhams simply dropped and rolled accentuating a hold but managed to draw the high tackle.
Rozzee and Gray threw their arms up all game. Gray in the last got 2 for his impersonation of Bartlett pre 1977.
The next night Duncan and Selwood were up to their usual tricks, dropping to their knees and flinging their heads up. They’re good for at least 2-3 free kicks each per game over their careers doing this. Dangerfield on the other hand only needs to go within 2 metres of the ball to draw the free. In tight games, these can be match winners.
Be prepared to be frustrated and outraged. You’ll save your TV if you’re well prepared

Vlastuin grabbed him around the shoulder and lladhams threw himself back. he flopped. port were flopping all night. but only tiger players stage.
