How many centre bounces did he start in? Remember him continually winning centre clearances yet Dimma just outight refuses to olay him there especially when we are screaming for one
Yep. Bolton is a clearance specialist. But rarely attends a centre bounce.

Must play in the guts.
Yep. It's time to super glue the magnets.
Shai and Bakes to the middle, cotch to half back. Stacky half forward. Vlastuin back, Balta forward. Resting ruck on the bench. Kamdyn and marlion on wings.

Set and forget.

Yep.

The worry is how long will he want to stay at Punt Road if we crash.

He is a key pillar of the next generation side under construction.
He will get handsomely rewarded at his next contract. Wouldn’t surprise me if he is our biggest earner.

When we can't get the ball out of the middle our champion attacking mids (Martin and maybe soon Bolton) have to get their hands dirty. I can see that Bones Martin was out of gas after 30 minutes. But I agree that Shai should have gone blue collar in the last quarter.

Shai is not yet fully developed. Let's hope we see a bit more of him in the guts as the season unfolds, dimmauchamp.

If only Dimma would realise the full range of Shai's skills and use him where we need him right now (at clearances) as he is much more than a predatory goal sneak. Love to see him in the forward arc but he has so much more

Agree. He's probably still kick 2 or 3 per game from the midfield.

Or you replace him in the forward line with Stack, who you'd hope we get around 2 goals per game. He has all the talent of being a 50 goal a year small forward, then releases Shai to go into the middle and if he needs to rotate, then Shedda and Stack can have some spells on the ball too.

Another good game from Shai, 2 goals probably should've got 3.

His twisting and turning is so exciting to watch. He makes opponents look silly while turning them inside out.

Kicked BOTY in the first minute. I'd like to see him win a bit more of the ball (was doing it last year), but I like how he was in a lot of dangerous spots today.

At one point the ball was kicked in Shai's vicinity vs two Giants. "That's not a fair contest," I says to me mate. "There's too many of him."
