Pick 29: Shai Bolton

Did he revert a little possibly dropping his bundle due to Prestia taking “his” spot?
Little bit of petulance mixed with extra final intensity?

He played well in the last quarter. maybe it took him a little bit of getting used to Edwards and Prestia being there?

Just tries to do too much every time he gets his hands on it. How often does he get caught Htb?? Needs to simplify his game.

He'll come good. First game back from a short layoff. His game is to take players on, sometimes he'll get caught. Usually he isn't.

Yeah, he currently seems to think no one can ping him in a tackle, just needs to have better discretion when deciding to try and dispose before the tackle or better absorb the tackle or learn to keep the arms free in the tackle.

Still learning. What I saw is a kid who in his first midfield year can do what he wants against poor teams but got torched by a top rank side playing tough finals footy.

All I thought at the time was that you just can't buy that experience. Process he has to go through to know in his guts that in a final it is always the first option - so rare to have time for anything else.

After watching the game again.
He was shocking
Responsible directly to 2 50's, both Goals for Brisbane. And fumbled and slipped most of ths game.
He needs to calm down and get back to what he was doing 4 weeks ago and provide run and link between def 50 and forward 50.

Yeah he seems to be trying to beat his opponent with funky tricks a little too often that it’s no longer unpredictable ,

They are waiting for it

Very happy to see him breaking games open in the forward line. But equally would love to see a way for him to continue to impact games in the middle with Edwards and prestia back.

Had minimal impact after half time. Guy is too good to be stuck in the forward line.

Remind me again how the U22 All Australian forward Gryan Myers went last week. Biggest disgrace of all time that he missed that side

Think he was eager to make amends for last week. Well and truly did that, credit to the kid

There must be a lot of good players u22 in the league for him to miss out. I look forward to seeing how they all go in the finals.
