Surprised at his low possession count, thought he looked very capable as a second ruck. A bit more experience in the role could really see him flourish.

Didn't give away frees which is a huge bonus for a relief/second ruck. Not only held his own but some nice taps to advantage.

Loved his game, he seemed to win plenty of taps rucking - this experiment has worked against Port and lions.

Next step for Millar is to hit the scoreboard occasionally.

A revelation who may end Saldos career at tigerland

Mobile, competitive and nicely skilled, took a few very nice CM as well.

May be way too good for the other 2nd ruckman with his mobility

This bloke could be very important to our future.

A real find

Handy game by Miller Light last night, some decent second ruck work, mobile n involved around the ground so good growth n development aspect for his future years.
Just as an aside, last couple of games in the magoos Biggie New One has been playing forward ruck instead of down back with a view to growing his game as well.

Could be some interesting future combinations coming up soon with obviously Tarrant down back, Jaaack up forward being deep into their twilight years n Nankenstein an undersized n somewhat battered 28y.o. ruck.
We could end up with Delilah as our key ruck with drift forward capabilities. Miller as part time mobile second ruck with defensive capabilities and Biggie also part time mobile third ruck with key forward capabilities. No dinosaurs, shared work load, mobile, creative n a nightmare for opposition sides to cover.

Gotta give some kudos to the coaching and development team with Ben. They've turned a project player into a decent kpp prospect.

Still calling him a prospect at this stage as I'd like to see a body of work from him, but the signs are great.

Really liked Miller’s game last night. He’s still levelling up game after game and discovering what he can do and can’t do.

Been thinking about Ben. I think the coaches should be telling him he's buddy and not a
Role player. He looks like a 10 year old competing against 6 year olds and being told to play nice. His athletic traits are amazing fast strong and can jump. He has nice skills too. His weakness is his one on one work. It's more naivete and lack of confidence than anything else. Ruck is physically demanding but otherwise the least accountable position on the ground. Id like to see him get more ruck time and be let off the leash

This, coupled with Samson's continued development puts Soldo in an awkward spot going forward.

I'd rather see him kick it through the big sticks! :) Took some nice grabs, good taps but that set shot for goal was so much like some of George's attempts. He's a keeper.

Rucks like Jackson of Melbourne? Sounds good provided they are also strong enough for the body contact work at throw-ins. How will Mate Colina fit in? His kicking has a long way to go but it's early days.

Miller is going really well. He is definitely a key piece going forward.

for the rucks though is a combination of soldo-Miller-Ryan a better option than nank-Miller-Ryan

Thought BM showed some good things against Port and has done some good stuff since his come in , however I’m still far from convinced at what permanent role he can play at AFL level , he has had 5 and 7 touches the last 2 weeks , yes he’s improved and may have earns himself another year, however I’m far from convinced that he’s anything more then a tweener back man, though there is something to work with
