He can do job in defence no issues for me , but at the moment his needed in the ruck versatility moves well and better then most second rucks.

Rucks like Jackson of Melbourne? Sounds good provided they are also strong enough for the body contact work at throw-ins. How will Mate Colina fit in? His kicking has a long way to go but it's early days.
Wouldn't even consider thinking about Maaaaate at senior level for another two years, long long way off it at the moment.

Millers still got a fair bit to learn about strong body work n where better to do some learning than the crash, bash n bustle around the ruck. Even if he doesn't come up as a second ruck n Delilah perhaps nabs that spot next year. The contested body work Miller is learning at the moment will stand him in good stead for a key defensive slot when Tarrant's done.

Yep. His disposal overall is extremely impressive.
Unbelievably rated a clear no 1 in our team for disposal efficiency.
Been the odd standout clanger but I near always feel calm with the ball in his hands.
Amazing was continuity does to a players confidence.
The role he is playing is more impactful for the way we are playing and the game is at the moment.
Provides us more.
Soldo will be better in 23 after coming back from a serious injury.

Has played in 2 draws in 9 games. Some record :) (last round v Hawks 2021, v Freo - subbed out late for MRJ)
4 wins 3 losses 2 draws

IMO he is a keeper - 198cm KPP ... Always a bonus when your 4th round - #63pick shows he can become a good AFL player.

Miller went from getting low teen possessions last year in the VFL and lacking confidence in his marking to 20 plus possessions and more assurity in his mitts this year.
Has always been very very good by foot.
MC not letting him settle in defense and switching up his role will take a bit of adjustment and he made a reasonable go of it on the weekend.
I definitely want him to be retained next year.

Will be 23 for most of next season, at 198cm his best footy is coming. Huge step forward this year, it looks like he is now believing that he belongs.

An athlete that is 198cm can make good football decisions, and play as a key defensive post or a second ruck. Rare as rocking horse poo.

Two years is a smart idea for all involved. Wouldn't have cost an arm and a leg either. Big tick.

Also has huge trade value.

On a cheap contract, can play KPD, and relief ruck, worth a pick in the 30s at least.

Good business Blair

Not yet convinced he'll continue to be a best 22 footballer.

But while the graph continues to go north - 100% worth keeping on the list.

Yeah, whether he's best 22 or not doesn't matter at this point. We have a super-athletic, improving, tall approaching his prime. In two more years we'll know more, and if he's any good we'll re-sign him.

Is he still a lifetime free agent because we delisted him? Or does the re-signing nullify that?

I’m sure that once they’re a DFA anytime they’re out of contract they’re a FA
