Everton clinging to survival with goal in the 9th minute of 2nd half stoppage time at Wolverhampton. Nonetheless, the door is ajar for Leeds to leapfrog the Toffees if they can beat West Ham tonight.

Nottingham Forest secured their top flight status for next season with a deserved 1-0 win over a limp Arsenal, a result that also confirmed Man City as champions.

Leeds destiny is in there own hands, beat the Hammers and Spurs and they stay up.

Start with either Summerville or Gnonto and get rid of Bamford.

Listening to the game late last night, as soon as the commentator said 10 minutes added on, you just knew Everton were gonna score to equalise and with 15 seconds left. Leeds have to win but looks like Leicester's gone with Southampton now.

More like you just knew that Everton would score because Wolves are *smile* !

It’s a funny old tradition that all the playoff finals must be at Wembley. From a practical perspective, it would make more sense if there were three or four approved venues located across various regions for play off finals. And depending on where the two competing clubs were from, the FA could allocate the most geographically appropriate venue. A bit like how the FA Cup semi final venues used to be allocated.

Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley are both from Yorkshire - South Yorkshire to be specific, only a stone’s throw from each other. Yet they both travel to Wembley for the occasion. Somewhere in the north (like Old Trafford for example) would seem more fitting.

As a pom this idea probably sounds good to people overseas, but to English football fans, Wembley is the pinnacle of English football. Its a place where football fans dream of going, its iconic. Wembley Way is iconic, the feel of the place, its just 1 of those things that if you grow up around that system you want to go to Wembley, not Old Trafford, the Emirates or wherever, its only Wembley.

I always understood that for cup finals. As in, playing to be the champion of a knockout tournament.

Playing cup semi finals (a relatively recent addition to Wembley) and the modern manifestation of promotion playoffs - where you are really only playing for third place - lowers the bar and prestige somewhat.

Cup semi finals I agree with but playoffs have been played at Wembley for over 30 years. Its been since 1990 they have been played at Wembley, only moving when Wembley was redeveloped. The only other time they weren't played there was because of a clash with the Champions Legaue final. Its not recent development with the playoffs.

Forrest slay the Gunners to stop up in the EPL for next season great effort.

Another season of rarity where the 3 promoted teams from the Championship all retained their place for the following season.

Fulham Bournemouth and Forrest.

Saints goneski, and the battle is raging with only one of Everton Leeds and Leicester to survive.

Leeds on the rack at the minute 1-2 down to the Hammers and 80 gone and a draw will have them at best needing Everton to lose or at worse draw next week to have another chance to leapfrog them.

Leiceester with 2 to play looking like 2 wins needed to get them out of the drop. A win and a draw might get them out if Everton and Leeds lose or draw their remaining games as the Foxes have a much better differential with Leeds -26 and Everton -24 and the Foxes at -18

For lower league teams/players it could be their only ever chance to play at Wembley, and for their fans the only chance they'll ever have to see their team at Wembley.

This is a non-problem.

so it all comes down to the last day, any of those three could still stay up.
