Hate to say it but Melbourne are looking very good. Well balanced across the board and have beaten all comers. Usually they would wilt under pressure but they are building nicely. Only concern would be if they do a Rich 2018.
They are going to finish Top 4 and likely to get 2 games at the G.

Only watched from a few minutes into the last but Melbourne look very good. They always have options because they outnumber at the contest, they outnumber in defence and they outnumber in attack. They are working very hard and their game does look a bit like ours at its best.
Brisbane cannot find any space and get harassed everywhere. I just saw a passage of play where a Brisbane player was deep in defence, received a handball in a position where the opposition often leaves you a bit of space. Melbourne player just ran at the Brisbane player, and were well set up further up the ground - the Brisbane player kicked it and a Melbourne player marked. That is the sort of pressure we put on at our best.
Melbourne players also look a lot like they know what they should be doing, where they should be. Playing much more like a team than I think I have ever seen from Melbourne. Plus, they really are very fit.
What I didn't see was what it looked like when Brisbane were ahead, how they stopped Melbourne.
We'll see if they can maintain it and if we can get them when we are on song.

Agree with this. Nick Riewoldt called it at half time. He said that they’d looked like the Richmond teams of the past few years and if they are like that then they should come out after half time and get themselves right back in the game. Well they did that and more. It reminded me of some of our great wins over the past few years. They really put the Lions to the sword after half time. Destroyed them.
Can they maintain it through to the finals. Remains to be seen. But they can’t do anymore than they have so far. They’ve beaten every challenger they’ve faced and beaten them well. There could be just one team that can stop them; us at our best. Hopefully we can get back there.

Demons are genuine, that is becoming obvious. They are following a similar path to us circa 2013 to 2017. Finals appearances, followed by an unexpected down period. The disappointment of the last couple of years has given them resolve.
They will make it difficult this year. Only question is if they are peaking too early.
