Round 2 - changes to the team. Richmond v GWS

It won't happen but I would make six changes for round two.
Out: Prestia, Riewoldt, Aarts, Castagna, Soldo and Graham

Grimes Tarrant Short
Mansell Broad Stack
Pickett Ross Ralphsmith
D Rioli Lynch Bolton
Baker Balta Martin

Nankervis Cotchin RCD
Soldo Graham Castagna Edwards
Sub Gibcus

Watched the magoos today.
Other than Sonsie, absolutely nothing to get excited about.
Most of our AFL listed players were appalling
Disappointing that so many AFL listed players were so poor, how did Syd go, and where did he play?

Mansell Tarrant Broad
Rioli Grimes Short
Ralphsmith Dusty Kmac
Bolton Balta RCD
Baker Lynch George
Nank Cotch Edwards

Soldo Pickett Gibcus Graham

Picket to play more in midfield to help out
Obviously RCD too , not sure how rcd goes up forward but with jack out could he play as a mid sized leading forward swapping with dusty through midfield?

Even with 4 talls down back would having 3 midgety flankers be an issue?

Not sure who would be a good sub?

Part of our premiership successes was Dimma coming to the conclusion that he we need change things. So players were selected on what they could do, not left out because of what they couldn't do.

This should apply to RCD, he is a clearance player, but is not a good two way runner. I know he has had bruised ribs which are a bugger of injuries.

If he is fit play him, we need clearance players.

Given Hardwick stated clearly clearances were the issue:

IN: RCD OUT: Meatball
IN: Parker OUT: JR (injured)
IN: McIntosh OUT: Aarts

Reckon they will persist with two ruckman for a few weeks. Apart from an improvement clearances I think they will go back to more chaos football. The pressure was clearly lacking all over the ground. I think that is a mindset BECAUSE they have been instructed to take more time and from that be less manic.

BCK TO HELTER SKELTER FOR MINE. It gave us 3 premierships and it is very hard to defend.

Out: Riewoldt Prestia Aarts
In: Macintosh Dow RCD
Ross and RCD to the middle. Have a look at them where they play their best footy. Give them a few weeks. Play Bolton in there too. Kmac to the wing. If Rioli is just going to be a defender I'd play Mansell. Rather than bring in dow. I don't rate him as next best.
I'd drop Graham too for the lack of discipline. Start making them pay half their match payments for giving away a 50.
Maybe drop soldo for lack of fitness.
Cotch to half forward

In: Macintosh, Collier-Dawkins, Sonsie with Stack to be sub.
happy with this and even if the S's are the other way around. Clearance is key for us given Prestia will miss a few weeks.

Wasn’t outstanding on the wing but once moved forward after half time, he certainly lifted and gave us a spark. He’s too good to be playing twos.
