Saints look like they're going to grab Johnno Marsh from under our noses.

Marsh is a pretty good backup defender and the right age and height.
Certainly a bit more of an attacking defender than Garth and worth hanging on to.
Great selection as a cheap pickup and could prove really useful.

A bit of a perfect storm happening at the moment, Gartwaite was the perfect replacement for Rance, but wasn't ready because of a limited pre-season and then he gets a corky.
I'm quite confident that when Garth comes in our defence will be more than adequate, it will free up Vlastuin, who i though was good last night.

Speaking of State Leagues: Subiaco into the GF. Woohoo (I lived in Perth until the start of 1974 so still have a soft spot for Subi, hoping we can go back to back but this year has been a bit of a disappointment, we lost a game earlier this year
