Sydney to sign former Sandy Dragons and now South Adelaide big man Hayden McLean.

Saints look like they're going to grab Johnno Marsh from under our noses.

Good luck to him I guess. I was looking forward to watching his progress this year.

Couldn’t we grab him back from under their noses?
Marsh is a pretty good backup defender and the right age and height.
Certainly a bit more of an attacking defender than Garth and worth hanging on to.
Great selection as a cheap pickup and could prove really useful.
A definite Hold.

Any defender we could nab in the mid season draft?

Just went through the top 50 in the SANFL, besides a slow midfielder rated number 1 Mitch Grigg, the rest look no good.
Matthew panos is rated at 2, jimmy Toumpas 21

A bit of a perfect storm happening at the moment, Gartwaite was the perfect replacement for Rance, but wasn't ready because of a limited pre-season and then he gets a corky.
I'm quite confident that when Garth comes in our defence will be more than adequate, it will free up Vlastuin, who i though was good last night.

Jake Riccardi from Werribee won the Fothergill-Round medal. He’s a 195cm key forward, still only 19 years old, 20 in November.

Who Selected the team? Barrott, Brown, Healy & Robbo?

Speaking of State Leagues: Subiaco into the GF. Woohoo (I lived in Perth until the start of 1974 so still have a soft spot for Subi, hoping we can go back to back but this year has been a bit of a disappointment, we lost a game earlier this year  ).

Only 3 state leaguers to get drafted yesterday, Jy Farrar, Jake Riccardi, Thomas Hutcherson, (3/65) which is about half of previous years.
